How do you niggas keep the creepy crawlies away in the warmer months? I hate ticks and I don't want to find one on my ballsack. Do you just spray DEET on my balls and hope for the best?
>>2863817for hammocks you can put certain ointments on the cords. heard someone burned coffee before bed, don't know if it actually works though
>>2863859That's a horrifying picture right there my nigga
>>2863899that's why it's important to wear a condom at all times
>>2863817Layered defense. Long sleeves, long pants, keep your skin and hair covered. Tuck pants into socks. Choose light colors when possible, you'll be a less obvious target in bug-vision and it makes it easier to spot hitchhikers. Do quick tick checks routinely during water or rest breaks. Pack a mirror for end-of-day gooch inspection, they love nooks and crannies. Always bring a head net for sanity.Keep clear of obvious spots favored by questing ticks, like bushwhacking through tall grass, following tight game trails, or carelessly brushing overgrowth on the sides of a path. Also avoid dense leaf litter, especially this time of year, since that's where nymphs overwinter in large numbers waiting for rodent hosts. You can soak or spray shit in permethrin too (undies not recommended), that shit kills any bug unfortunate enough to land on a treated surface. Horse-strength is cheapest, but dilution and soaking is kind of a pain in the ass. It will also kill cats when wet.Picaridin and DEET work on mosquitoes, black flies, and ticks. If you're in an area with keds or deerflies, they're mainly visual hunters so only permethrin and God can help you.
>>2863909but then itll be HOT how can i be ultralight wearing more than a dyneemA toga?
>>2863817Smoke cigarettes or burn citronella Smudge with sage rosemary or anything that burns You will stink and be comfy

>>2863909There's a farmer who died because he hot permethrin on his balls trying to kill crabs, and iot was the farm-grade stuff.
>>2863817>How do you niggas keep the creepy crawlies away in the warmer months?Do mountaineering and camping only in the winter. No bugs at all.

>>2863899I had a tick bite me on the head of my dick, many years ago.>be me>doing kharazhan raid>crack open my third brewsky>"okay, kick this noob, I'll log on my prot warrior">feel a sharp, intense itchy sting on my dick>"oh no..." i mutter under my breath bc I already know what the fuck it is, having grown up in this area with constant threat of ticks and dozens of bites over the years>sprint to the bathroom>rip that little fucker off as fast as humanly possible>"phew... okay. Back to the raid"fast forward about 12 hours>wake up to intense crotch itchies>"wtf">"oh yeah.. the tick thing">walk into bathroom>unzip pants>entire waist is red>dick is swollen to 3x size>almost faint from just looking at it>"welp... not working today...">call into work (I worked at schlotzkies at the time)>my manager is like "what? a tick bite? You calling out bc of a tick bite? come on man, you really gonna fuck us like this today??">explain where it was>he's like: "...oh... wow. Uhh... okay. um, yeah. Okay. Take care of yourself bud.It was a very very shitty experience. Because the head of the dick is so sensitive it causes a huge systemic reaction beyond that of just a normal bite. For a week my waist was swollen and it was intensely itchy in that fiery way that really drives you insane. It was hard to walk bc i felt like I could feel every thread on my boxers. For over a decade I had a little hardened spot where the tick bit me... looked kinda like a mole
>>2867124Mosquitoes can bite through a hammock, but not through an underquilt.
>>2869222This is why some hammock brands offer double layer alternatives. How effective those are I don't know.
