If you're going car-camping you are obligated to use your house-on-wheels as part of your camping setup.

I'm thinking of getting some of that mosquito netting with the weighted bottom to make the trunk into a pop-up camper. There's more than enough room to sleep.
Rain will require a full tarp from the roof back, but that's easier.

Make sure to disconnect your battery so the courtesy light in the trunk doesn't drain it overnight

i lived in my 96 honda civic for 3 months in belfield nd. it was good times. i poached internet and electricity from the hotel. i would run an extension cord to the outlet for truck heaters to be plugged into and run a little space heater and my cpu with that to save gas. it was good times

I threw a mattress pad in the back of my shitty hatchback and honestly it was very cozy and I liked it much more than a tent.

I wonder if new minivans still have those awesome projector screen sunshades. They were similar to this, but were mounted above the window and you could just pull them down to block the sun.

You won't regret it!
If you do end up getting it, make a thread on /o/.

would it not be way easier to just solder a switch on one of the leads for the courtesy light???
