When I was there ('85-'89) the best hiking path was from $dorm to the chicken. I assume the chicken is still there, so that would be my recommendation.

Lick Creek Park is pretty nice. Don’t bother with anything close to town, the cops are dicks and will accuse you of doing drugs or gay sex. For some reason all the closet cases like to blow each other in the woods. I don’t know what the fuck is wrong with the people at Texas A&M, there were fucking glory holes all over that campus.
