6.5/10>mediocre hiking trails>great paddling trails>South part is overcrowded and dull compared to rest of the continent >North is slightly better but fuck ton of blackflys and mosquito during the summer
Mine is totally underrated. But the water is bad. There are many super accessible /out/ options, yet there are hardly any people. The state is insulted and overlooked, but that's the way I like it.
>>2869708I live in Texas. Its absolute hell for /out/ because there's so little public land. Also it gets hot as Satan's asshole during the summer.Probably 4/10. At least what there is to see has a some variety.
>>2869708Central Michigan sucks because you have to drive like an hour to go anywhere that isn't a tiny state game area or a paved trail with a billion normies on it. But you can't beat the UP, it's just so desolate and lacking in people, I love it.
North HollandProbably 2/10>Amsterdam in the way>no elevation >if not in city there is farm land>quite few cycle and walking trails but there's a shit load of people using them >a few man made forests but overcrowded >probably need a boat if you want to feel /out/ at all
>>2869708>Southern Oregon>heaven on earth/10we're full though, sorry.
8.5/10>amazing recreational areas anywhere in the province for any sport/activity>places worth visiting in dense and sparsely populated areas>90% of our roads are unpaved (over 1 million kms)>cleanest water in the world>best fishing in the world>amazing motorcycle riding>a bazillion bodies of watercons>too expensive if you want to live in places with moderate weather (changing soon)>too fucking rocky
>>2869774My wife and I honeymooned in the UP in the off-season and it was amazing. I'd love to go back and rent a cabin on Lake Superior.
4/109/10 if you're ocean faring7/10 if you can drive a few hours
>>2870702>changing soonLmao
>>2870702BC is a beautiful province but the weather is terrible and unironically worse than the prairies, too expensive, and the people are some of the unfriendly and stuck-up on the planet esp. Lower Mainland + Vancouver island.
>>2869708Alberta 9/10>alpine>foothills>grassland>prairie>big game>cryptids>good soil>large public-use land >minimal poisonous creaturescons>no ocean>baseball-sized hail>occasional droughts
>>2871677>the weather is terrible and unironically worse than the prairiesI live in the prairies and fuck no it isn't. -40C in the winter followed by +35C in the summer is fucking awful. And now we also get a shitton of tornadoes every year.
>>2870551full of junkies and trannies
>>2870551yep, this anon is right. it's so fucking terrible here. i pray to god every day that i could live somewhere better.please please please, if you are considering coming this way, even to visit, go somewhere else, anywhere else is better.Do yourself a favor and just stay away!
>>2869708Quetico is great and Woodland Caribou is better, I like Onterrible.
>>2869708>South part is overcrowded and dullOntarians have the weirdest sense of direction. Wawa and Kenora are God-tier /out/.
>>2869708california herecan only say shit for fishing related thingssaltwater: 7/10>pretty decent>some idiotic rules for things, mostly understandable>fine as long as if you know what you're doing.freshwater: 4/10>you need a boat>a lot of the rivers are bordered by private land.>public spots are overpressured to hell or in the middle of nowhere or there's a lot of homeless people.>impressive fishing if you have a boat, pretty lackluster without>weird rules (read: difference between chumming and packbait)overall: 5/10 without boat, 7/10 with boat
holy subhumans
>>2871677Yeah I've lived in the prairies and in several places in BC and the prairies are far worse weatherwise.Weather on the BC coast in spring, summer, and fall is about as good as it gets in Canada.Unless you're complaining about the winter rain or something, which is still preferable to -40 and whiteout blizzard conditions.
>>2869708I live in South Australia bro its so over for me, this entire state is just 90% desert, dry as fuck and if I want to hike anywhere other than the Adelaide hills I have to drive hours. I miss Sydney, I miss the Blue Mountains I grew up in. This is hell.
Absolute best state/region on earth for /out/, nothing really compares. >Unlimited outdoor potential for any sport.>At least 6 climate zones any time of year.>Can go surfing, rock climbing, hiking and skiing in the same day with around 2.5 hours drive time. >Best MTB trails, hiking, high Sierra, rock climbing, Mountaineering, Surfing, thousands of miles of backcountry dirt roads. >free camping everywhere. >Solitide everywhere within an hour of major populations even. >Fishing, hunting, a million lakes. Cons:>Too many liberals fucking everything up. >Price of admission.
8/10Bulgaria Oblast. The locals are just so damned nice. homemade fruit moonshine. Live and let live. No one gives a shit if you hunt or fish without a license. Or build a camp in the forest. No one leaves their known areas, meaning there's acres of free to use land, since the equivalent of 'state park cops' don't venture further than 5min from the nearest tavern of their area. gold panning is free to do. weirdly diverse looking scenic spots for such a small country.
>>2871677Lmao we'll trade you our weather any time
>>2869708Ontario has to be at least a 7 or 8, we have the best part of Lake Superior around Sleeping Giant and Pukaskwa. Bruce Peninsula might be the best part of Huron. Plus really good paddling routes and I know it's hard to get up there but we have the Hudson's Bay region with subarctic conditions.
