>"You're being a gearfag! If it's good enough for the trail, it's good enough for the trail!"
>"Okay, then I'll buy this milsurp that I think looks go-"
>"REEEEE YOU'RE A LARPER! TACTICOOL! TACTICOOL! THOSE PANTS WILL FALL APART IN A WEEK!"

Shut the fuck up, you fucking fairy. Better to be tacticool than a gearfag who's in denial about being a gearfag.

You're shouting into the wind about a nothing burger problem that you made up in your head.

Camouflage? What are ya hidin' from, son?
>>
Military gear is uncomfortable lowest bidder trash that does in fact fall apart too easily.

I got a Canadian surplus wool shirt that is maxcomfy, highly durable basedgear.

I have one too and it one of my favorite articles of clothing. I also have Finnish wool trousers and jacket.

i like camo because i think it looks cool
i don't care what others think of it, i just care about what "i" think of it
it also helps me not scare wildlife too, which is a huge plus, since i like observing such

Depends what the gear is. US poncho liners, for example, are really good, imo.

Useless meme garment

It’s not a garment.

Milsurp is designed to be indestructible by 80 IQ grunts. It's far more durable than civilian outdoor gear. (And correspondingly heavier.)

US Army ACU camouflage pattern items can be found at low prices. The ACU pattern has been discontinued by the US Army and it is not a very well liked pattern. Since it has been discontinued and is not well liked there is a lot of it available and low prices.
I bought some textile dye at Hobby Lobby and dyed the ACY gear I bought to better match the vegetation in my area of Appalachia.
My experience with military surplus gear is that it is very well made and durable. The picture has a couple items I have dyed next to a M81 Woodland Alice Pack, a USMC desert camo shingle and a British DCP pack cover. I live in a low population area and do not see many if anyone out on the trails I use so I do not have to worry about what some REI store assistant manager thinks about my gear choices. I can use what I am happy with.
