Any recommendations? I'm passionate about them and I would like to merge both interests into some hobbies

I recommend you go outside.

go to famous ufo landing sites
they're usually in the middle of fuck nowhere so they make for fun trips, and are always near camping grounds too (since everything is anyway)
at worst, you see a spooky alien doing a space thing, at best, you see a nice waterfall

I combine them all the time.
>go backpack camping alone
>start worrying about ayys

I do astrophotography. You can try it out by renting a DSLR and going camping far from civilization where there’s no light pollution.

You can go to areas with "mysterious/unexplained lights". In NC there are the Brown Mountain Lights. I haven't seen them do anything as crazy as stories I've heard from others, but I've seen them do things that could definitely not be done by a human. The lights often look like normal red/white/(sometimes)green lights that tend to not illuminate anything around them. I know there are a lot of similar phenomenon in random parts of the US. I've never experienced any vortexes, and don't know much about them at all but that is another /x/-adjacent thing you could try to experience while going /out/.

Urbex? Visit haunted places? UFO landing sites? That should be up your alley. A bit benefit of urbex is that if you’re lucky, you’ll have a roof over your head.

Bumping this bc I love this combo but id suggest posting this to /x/ instead. A large part of /out/ don’t care for this kind of discussion

How does one rent a camera? This seems like a very big city thing.

Nah, you can do it online. I used to always rent from lensrentals but wound up buying equipment I liked.

Search for haunted/high strangeness areas near you, plan an expedition. Ask around in some ufo and ghost hunter forums, if you want to make friends to help. Good luck.

Arizona and New Mexico. You don't even need to be very far from the cities and towns to see interdimensionals. Some of them can turn themselves into humans by appearance. I will not elaborate further.
