Post your yak hacks.

I got a new Quest Outlands 100 about a week ago and I've already been bitten by the yak hacking bug. I got a 4.5 inch rubber plug from Amazon and cut this hole behind the seat. Now I can reach inside and install nuts and/or backing plates for more tracks and cleats. The hole deburred easily with a razor blade and with the plug in it looks totally factory.

IMO the Quest Outlands is the best poorfag fishing kayak on the market right now. The Quest Endeavor uses the same hull and they cut the entire bottom of the seat out to install an "upgaded" seat that isn't actually better, so I figure a much smaller hole with no stress risers won't compromise anything.

Have you tried not being so fucking poor you don’t need to immediately drill into a brand new kayak?

I got picrel recently.
Just needed something easily transportable to fuck around on calm waters a few days out of the year.

Any Anons used that before?

I'm looking for something ≤10 ft I can shove in my car and take fishing after work, seems like everything under $500 either has major warping and structural problems over time or spins out with a gentle breeze, wondering if I could just take something cheap and install a skeg to at least fix the spinning issue. Anyone have any experience with that?
