I came really close to buying one of their hardtails, spent months looking for a good deal on a used real brand one with no luck but finally decided to just bite the bullet and raise my budget a bit when a solid one came up for $750ish.

$20. Nicest backpack I've seen

My problem with Walmart is that so many of their locations have so many meth head employees and shoppers. Last time I was there, I saw this youngish woman with the worst make up. She looked like a corpse and had stars on her face. I just know that if she awoke from her torpor she would be after my copper in a heartbeat. That, however, is not the case for my favorite gas station, Kwik Star. It's not even the case at any grocery store I've been to.

They are so much cheaper than at a parts store
Some of the ozark trail stuff is pretty good for the price and same day availability. I use their little backpacking stove and it has been fine the last year, also they have 20 and 30 dollar tents that are more than adequate for a campground tent site.
