My original point is he keeps making stuff we've already seen many times before and that makes for boring content. That's been the main focus of his videos for the past like 3 or more years. He's eventually going to have to go out and find raw materials elsewhere. But he's not. He's sitting in his nest, and just toiling away without much advancement. He doesn't need to do anything to crazy, hell he could even make a video of him going to a different area and either gathering wild material, or just explain that he had to bring outside help in. He can't stay isolated like his is and make videos the way he is without it going stale.

It took mankind thousands of years to figure out how to smelt and forge iron. He also doesn't have access to copper or tin, so he can't even make bronze, and the only iron source he has access to is the iron bacteria mud. He also can't hunt for animal products like leather, sinew, bone, etc. because that would be illegal to do with primitive tools.Then you have the fact that he is one person by himself, which makes everything he tries to do exponentially more difficult and time consuming. In the actual stone age, you had a community around you who would all pitch in.

I agree with the posters who say he should tech advance.I found primitive technology very interesting, you learn a level of self reliance by seeing HOW these things were done and how you could do it yourself.But whats the point of playing in the dirt with sticks forever? He's trying to do everything on his own, which is based and possible at a primitive tech level, but that's impossible further on. You need people for that, lots of people performing specialized labor.He should advance through the tech tree but emphasize to the audience the "shortcuts" he's taking. Is he going to find all the metal he needs in his backyard? Doubtful. his iron smelts yields like 20g per batch and he picks them out as little droplets. then when he tries to consolidate them, it just all oxidizes and its not like hes got a good flux.he needs to make a batch 10-20x the size, pick out the bloom from the furnace while still at welding heat and then forge it to remove the slag and consolidate the iron to a bar. I dont see how you could possibly do this with wooden tongs and a fisthammer + anvil stone. Id say hes bricked pretty badly without a basic iron hammer and tongs.
