god I love birds so much please show me your most recent sightings

I'm going on a backpacking solo trip on a segment of pacific crest just for the birds

I love being surrounded by stellar's jays and I really hope I can spot some mountain quails
>>
You fucking go BirdAnon. You go see those birds.
>>
Did you ever know that you're my hero?
You're everything I wish I could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Wow, you’ll have the chance to see some great birds. Keep an eye out for waxwings, pileated woodpeckers, perhaps even the rare yellow billed magpie. Did you know they only live in one small section of California, and for some reason a tiny portion of Korea? Sup with that?

Damn bro, those are some gorgeous photos.

What camera/lenses are you shooting with? What post-processing do you do?

I wish I was a better photographer. Sometimes I get lucky with something half-decent like picrel but most of the shots I take when I'm /out/ just end up being generic vacation snaps that no one except my mother would be interested in seeing. I dunno if it's a lack of knowledge of photography technique or if I just don't have a good eye for composition.
Any advice?

That anon is shooting from far away with a really long telephoto lens that causes the background to blur nicely. Beyond that, just rule of thirds.
