How is your experience with night hiking, anons? There's a big forest reserve in the middle of town and I want to lose track of time and walk around in it at night. It might be the difference of only a few people I'd otherwise meet but I want the peace of knowing I'm alone. There are some coyotes apparently but no bears or montain lions probably. I bought a bear horn and a stick just to be careful. Anyway I feel like I could walk forever in this sort of environment and I'd get a lot of exercise

You are never alone, anon.

Uh what? It'd probably full of hobos then

You won't see shit you might get lost or hurt yourself. If you really want to go in the woods at night find a good spot and stay there (camping)

there's not much to it. if you have a headlamp, you're good. if you don't have a headlamp or you'd rather not use one, it depends. you can walk at night without illumination, even on moonless nights if there's not too much tree cover. dense tree cover makes everything really dark - too dark to see. trails make it easier to see as well - especially logging or fire trails since they contrast against the forested edges.

It is genuinely frightening. I feel a lot safer when I do it with a girl or femboy but not other men.

It's a terrible idea to go without knowing the geography of the place; we don't know the best places to stay. It's practically suicide; there could be murderers there.

I walk a lot in darkness because I live in the forest and have no car, but in my country there are no predators. Not sure if I would do that with my heavy grocery bags and backpack when there is bears around but your distances are likely much higher.

I used to take highdose mushrooms and go to the forest, especially in the 2014 era when I lived near Königsforst in Cologne (Rath Heumar). Magical times, its for you if you enjoy solitude and dissolution into other states of consciousness. But here where I live there is nothing to fear except humans. And there are never any. Only once some homeless sheltered in the entrance. Humans are afraid of total darkness and the forest, which I enjoy, because it gives me safety in that knowledge. When you do it regularily you become used to it.

It became now a tradition to dose my drugs in the forest, especially DXM nowadays, I also grow Cannabis there which is like an exercise.

The times I've done it, I always seem to walk through a big cobweb. Really hate it when that happens.
