Nah highest ive been is 3000m which is 10 000 feet i think, we did it in 6-7 hours if i remember correctly and my legs were killing me

as a third worlder i've casually walked upto 4k but apparently shit gets serious after that

are you messing around down in on the mexican volcanoes? that'd be my guess.

and I've never been that high but i want to. I lived at 10k' for a while so I'm pretty sure with training and acclimation i'd probably be ok to handle 15-16k no problem, but I've only been to 14.5k'

the real lazy ass thing I want to do is go to ladakh and just drive to 19.5 and walk to 20k and head home.

I don't think any peak is really worth risking one's life over and I prefer to be alone, so I don't really fuck around beyond scrambles.

Twice. Denali (my team didn't summit), and Annapurna circuit.
I was stronger on Denali but altitude sickness was real both times. I loved both trips but I don't know if I'm physically cut out for high-altitude adventures. I'll probably try one more time at something and if it hits hard again that will be the last of it and I'll stick to stuff around 11000ft.

Basically all of the popular high altitude mountains are thick with red tape, this is primarily because of the amount of traffic they get and it helps govs wrangle all the retards that these things attract.

If you're actually ballsy enough to go alone on whatever route you pick, there are hundreds of 5000m+ mountains in the world where you would either pay nothing, or maybe like a $20 park fee.
