>Marmot Tungsten 4P $400
>Mountainsmith Morrison EVO 4 $270
>TNF Trail Lite 4 $400
>ALPS Mountaineering Lynx 4
$250
Any recommendations? 80% ADK 10% Green Mtns 10% Catskills
4P is probably as small as I can go, basically family of 4 though none of us are large
Thank you for your help

Walmart 4 or 6 person tent. Anywhere from 40 bucks to 100 bucks.
Shop Smart. Shop S-Mart.

Of the 4 you listed, the Marmot and TNF would have way more interior space because of the vertical doors. If you are spending a lot of time in the tent with your senpai, I would spring for the extra room.

thank you, of course, they are the 2 impossible to find now? discontinued perhaps?
>>2875362
they are simply too heavy, like 15lbs, everything has moved towards car camping market (gotta park those sasquatch broncos somewhere)

Nta but Walmart tents are some of the lightest tents I've ever used. Do you have weak arms and a weak back or something?

Big Agnes or nothing, do not listen to people here, they are gorpcore LARPers

Check out Kelty. They have good quality-to-price ratio. Just make sure to read the specs. Some of their stuff is heavy as fuck.

If you ar backpacking with 4 that need to stay in 1 tent you should get w backpacking 5 or 6 so you’re not on top of each other
>>
>>2875476
If you're actually going with multiple people this makes sense though. One guy can just carry the tent while other people carry other stuff. Everyone having their own tent would be stupidly redundant and waste space and weight.

If you have a tight group it’s the way to backpack. I backpack with two girls I used to film content with. We basically assign roles: tent & habitat, water & necessities, food & emergency. Responsibilities for planning are split up, then before trip we weigh everything out and distribute. The smaller girl is only 5’1” (perfect pear body) so generally we let her carry some denser items while me (5’10) and the other (5’7” thin but firm and fit) carry longer packs with more flexibility. We once filmed content in the woods but I swear the animals heard us and gathered round to watch.

Zpacks has a lightweight 3 person which can possibly fit 4 if you really like the other person

Personally I wouldn't carry a 4P on my back unless it's for a thing.. Get 2 x 2P. You'll be a lot happier.
