Are /out/ activities a good way to make friends? As a guy, I'm always looking for shit to do, particularly shit to do with other guys and /out/ activities seem like my golden ticket to some fast friends.

Does this work?

Why do you want friends? Seems weird

I go /out/ so that I can enjoy nature, views, being grounded, acting on impulses, but most of all solitude.
Please don't 'make friends' should you ever see me /out/. Thanks.

Any time I go fishing alone in a public place like a canal or lake near a city I'll have at least one guy come up and ask me about my luck, what I'm fishing for and what kinda rig I have. Last time I ended up chilling with some Polack and shared my jetty with with him, drank a couple beers and smoked cigs together.
