Yesterday i tried stargazing for the first time with my 10x50 binoculars. I saw one peculiar thing that i cannot seem to find an answer as to what it was. It was quite cloudy and the sky wasn't very dark, it was one of the few lights i could see.It was blue and almost perfectly round shaped, with light blue curved lines running inside, each ending with a slightly darker dot. And there were a lot of these. I think there was one like, in the middle or a bit higher? But not all of the lines pointed towards it. I wouldn't even say any were, nor multiple lines touched the same dot. There were also two white stars close to it (didn't really get a closer look at them), making a V-shape in which this blue object was top right, but couldn't see any other lights to tell if it's in a constellation. I really liked it. Observed around 9:30-10PM CEST and i was facing South-Southeast. Yes i know, the picrel is fucking abysmal, sorry. Thought maybe someone here has some experience with observing the sky and would know.
Went out today too and the weather was way more conducive for gazing. I think i saw it again! ngl hard to tell and i could barely tell lights between each other, i'm a total amateur. But i still enjoy it!

What I would do is find what constellation it lies in and consult a sky chart to see what objects are present there at this time of year.If it doesn't twinkle, it's not a star. If it's not moving relative to the other stars it could be a nebula, galaxy, or even a planet. If it's planet you would notice it's position relative to stars change over a few days.
>>2877356I see. I might've seen two different similar objects, not sure. It was higher and more to the south. i guess it's not very hard to just find three lights in a V-shape, but i didn't recognize it in the same place as yesterday
>>2877357As far as planets go it'd be Uranus if it's blue-ish. Neptune is currently only visible in the early morning hours, not sure how late you were out, but both would look like fuzzy stars with binoculars. The other planets are much brighter and not blue at all.With your local time when you saw this thing, latitude, and general direction you were looking you could easily identify what this is.
>>2877360I managed to pin-point the piece of the sky i'm facing with Stellarium and i can't tell i really can connect anything into a constellation. I mean i see a looot of lights and the milky way faintly, i guess? I mean obviously it's hard for me to do just from memory, im not using my phone to compare
