So I was on an anon walk in a forest at night about ~30 minutes walk away from the nearest road, on a path I knew very well. There's a spot where trees are rather young, short and densely packed, creating a completely dark zone for a few minutes of walking. When heading towards it I've seen what appeared to be a yellow round light, about 30 yards ahead, like a reflection in a scope, or dim yellow flashlight, but the round glass like reflection was the only thing that could be seen, area around it wasn't lit. It was visible for about 2 seconds and it just disappeared. I've never seen anything like it around here, and the light seemed to be obviously caused by a human - someone was there in this dark zone. I've stopped, stepped to the side of the path and listened for footsteps for about 30 seconds - not a single noise, it was dead silent. I took a leak, returned to the path, and suddenly I had a cold shiver down my spine, a sudden instinct to GTFO. So I turned back and GTFOed quickly, looking behind me every 10-15 seconds, and listening for any noises from behind me. I was walking very fast, almost running. After about 8 minutes someone ~150 yards behind me turned on a very bright white flashlight, like a flood-light. So someone was following me for ~8 minutes at a very fast pace, at night, while trying to not make noise.I'm not sure wtf was that encounter. Some hunter hunting for deer?
You should have come back onto the trail with your pants completely off and shouted "LETS DO THIS"! That's what I do.
