it feels pretty fucking lame to pay 20$ for a couple of grams of permethrin emulsified in water.the chinese will sell me a big ass bag of technical grade permethrin for almost nothing, but going that route means i'll have to find some sort of emulsifier and surfactant, and probably some sort hydrocarbon solvent. people bitch about using 10% ag grade permethrin concentrates, because they stink like gas and leave an oily film on your gear. i'm blown away that i can't seem to find people making their own permethrin soak """from scratch""". it's always just diluting a concentrate.so i'm wondering what you do to treat your clothes to see whether or not i actually want to go down this rabbithole to "save" maybe 50$ a year on permethrin treatment.

You can find the dilution rate for spray application of permethrin on clothing. It's normally in the pesticides area of most farm stores/homedepots.Just buy a small hand pump sprayer and a measuring cup and mix as much as you need for pennies.You can also find the right mixing dosage for spraying around your house/property to kill any ticks during the heavy periods. Just beware of its deadly affect on cats before it dries.
