I think this time of year is my favourite time of year. Late August to Early September, maybe most of August and September. End of Summer, beginning of Autumn. It's just the perfect weather. Not too hot, not too cold, the sun sets at a great time, it feels like the sunsets last longer too. Theres a slight chill that arrives at night too when you get to early September.

every time of year is the best somewhere, winter for further south, summer for further north etc. my favorite time to hike in the mountains here in the Rockies is late September into early October though, for fall colors, no bugs and pleasantly cool temperatures. Any time between October and April is great to be on the Colorado plateau.
Dogshit time of year. Trees and plants are tired out and browning off, flies at their worst, still too hot. Winter and spring, and autumn if it's dry, are the best seasons. Early summer is too, but only if it doesn't heat up to quick. Everything after mid June is bullshit.
