I know there's a backpacking general already but this is gonna be quite long so might as well create my own threadI'm going on a 10-15 day backpacking trip and the closest thing I've done to this was backpacking and camping for 1 day in the mountains In this case it's gonna be mostly even terrain with easy to walk pathsMy idea is to wild camp most nights and prepare my own food, although I might stop once or twice in a camping park to wash my clothes and take a shower and charge my electronics My loadout from left to right, top to bottom (rougly):Clothes>hiking pants that turn into shorts>swimming shorts>regular sports shorts>1 longsleeve t-shirt>2 shortsleeve t-shirts>rainjacket>cap>3 socks>3 boxers (not in pic)>flip flops>small towel (not in pic)Main>sleeping pad>sleeping bag>pillow>tent>tarp to place under the tent>backpack + extra bagElectronics >GoPro + mount + batteries + battery charger box>phone >charger>powerbank? (thinking about getting one)Food (will buy along the way)>seasonings (salt, sugar, cinnamon, olive oil)>oats>6 tuna and sardine cans>1 can of beansHigiene >toothbrush and toothpaste>gilette>deodorant >shampoo>detergent and sponge>toilet paper>shovel>tissuesCooking set>pan>pot>cup>bowl, spoon, fork, knife>gas can>mini stove>lighter or matches?Misc>water filter>swiss army knife>headlight >duct tape>dry bag (for dirty clothes probably)>trash bags and zip lock bags (not in pic)Water>1,5LMy scale isn't working properly but I think this adds up to about 18kgI weight about 88kg, 180cm with plenty of muscle mass, probably around 18%bfIs this doable? What would you add and/or remove? Also, should I get a powerbank? Probably should get bandaids for blisters too?
>>2878443>toothpaste>>gilette>>deodorant>>shampoo>>detergentYou don't need any of that.
>>2878445>t. indianJokes aside, if it were a shorter trip I would somewhat agree, but I'm not about to go 2 weeks smelling like shitAnd I absolutely need detergent to wash my stuff, especially the cooking tools
>>2878447if you were healthy you wouldn't smell bad
>>2878447you only need the toothpaste and the toothbrush, the rest is whatever. wash your clothes between each wear and dont worry about shaving tissues and toilet paper are the same thing, bring the most compact one and if you need more steal some from public toilets
>>2878485I never take toothpaste on a hike. I just brush my teeth without it. As long as you are removing the bits of food stuck there then your mouth will be clean.
>>2878443>>giletteYou should get the Philips One Blade. I love that thing.
Alright bros I think i got everything and I'm heading out tomorrowEnded up ditching the olive oil and the longlseeve t shirtAlso found this cool web that's gonna be quite usefulWish me luck >>2878453Yeah, I've heard people say that but it's bullshitYou might not smell for one or two days but eventually you're gonna start smelling>>2878510I already have a shaving machine, the gillette is just lighter

>>2878453Please use deodorant anon, there's no izzat in smelling like spicy dookie
>>2878525I've strapped my stuff to my backpack for years and never had a problem.
>>2878445>>2878447>>2878445>>2878485Crazy how you guys have turned these items into a Socratic dialogue when together they weigh literally a couple ounces.
>>2878622>>2878548it looks bad can get caught in the bushes just get a bigger bag
>>2878732>it looks bad.No it doesn't. It's a timeless look. It's in every form of media you can think of too.>can get caught on bushes.Yeah if you're a retard and go through pricker bushes or brambles, maybe. I've been wild camping since I was 13 and never had anything catch. Stop being a contrarian and go camp with some stuff strapped to your pack.
If you havent left yet, Clothing:id try to bring anti-microbial clothing so they stay clean longer, id switch out the boxers for boxerbriefs, and id throw in a beanie and shemagh Electronics:id add a powerbank if youre going to be using them often Food:Add some snacks you can eat on the move like trail mix or jerky, and you could get lighter, and more compact food with different packagingHighine: id ditch the deodorant, and add some wilderness wipes and hand sanitizer Cooking:Bring a good butante lighter, and a bic or two as backups. Water:youre good, but maybe get a more sturdy water bottle, even if its a disposable oneMisc:id add paracord, ductape (wrap it around a credit card to make it flat and compact), a small sewing kit, and definitely and first aid kit and blister kit. Pretty good set up otherwise.
>>2878687Ounces equal pounds. POUNDS EQUAL PAIN.
Get liner socks to go under your hiking socks for blister prevention, nothing ruins a trip faster
>>2878769the more things you strap on the more the weight will start moving away from your center and it does look bad like hobo mode
>>2878811No ounces equal ounces bro, we learn the concept of similarities and congruency in grade school... that saying is for low T, moleskin wearing cucks.
>>2878834Wrong and wrong again, dingus.
