Im looking for a tool similar to vid/picrel. Its a manual hand drill that was built for saddle hunting, but i need it just to drill holes into fallen logs so that i can insert plugspawn for growing lions mane, shiitake, nameko, reishi and oyster mushrooms. Does anyone know if a tool identical to this exists or a suitable alternative but doesnt cost $80https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aCFGVI0uZQw
Have you considered just using, like, a drill?

A minute ago was checking out those wood auger brace drills and theres vintage ones on ebay for like $25-60 bucks. Might go with that but that shit is even clunkier and im sure will come with some quirks
