Night vision or thermal?
>>2879398my natural night vision
Thermal makes it like Predator
>>2879398you can have both now
>>2879398Thermal is the far superior technology, but back when I was in the army thermal was mounted to a truck, nvg was mounted to your helmet. If you can put a good thermal on your rifle and carry it around now it wins every time. To even make nvgs halfway useful you need to put an infrared laser flashlight on the end of your m4.
>>2879405how many bjs did you have to give when you were in the army
night vision is for navigating in the dark. thermal is for seeing living creatures in the dark.
>>2879427They were all optional.
>>2879398night vision requires ambient light or another light source. So if the moon is out, lots of stars it easier to see. Thermal does not need any light so if it new moon, fully over cast, darkest night you can still easily thermal.
Neither, both are demonic technologies.
>>2879629these demons of yours, are they in the room with you right now?
>>2879631NTA but yes they are, always.
>>2879398I used on of those Pulsar scopes once to shoot hogs, insane stuff, you can see a mouse from a mile away and it even auto records everything, too bad they're expensive as hell.
>>2879557Rain really fucks thermal though. At least the thermal scopes i have, which are admittedly five to ten years old. But based on my understanding of the technology, that shouldn't really matter. The main improvement I've seen on thermals is their compactness. You have thermals the size and shape of reddot sight now.
>>2879557you can't really navigate and conduct movements with thermal at alland from a tactical point of view, you can't positively identify targets at ranges that you can with night vision
