20yo me is becoming self aware of where my future is headed. The thought of being a corporate work slave is haunting me day and night. Now I'm considering survivalism in the future.
> now, the problems: I've never been out camping before . I don't know any people that know anything about this topic. infact , all my friends have pretty shitty lifestyles (myself included) I've never went out much in highschool , pent most of my time at home , was bad at pe. I have a bad diet and I rarely exercise. I'm pretty weak. You get the idea.

>If anyone has ever 'trained' or 'prepared' for camping , hunting or any outdoor challenges then I'd appreciate any tips! I'm mainly looking for any small activities I could start with, important changes in diet , exercises to help with my aerobic performance etc

MALADAPTIVE DAYDREAM POSTER, WHERE ARE YOU??? WE'VE GOT A LIVE ONE HERE!

You can just not work a corporate job, and you can still go camping

End of summer is bringing them in this season, only a matter of time till this one gets an auto ban like the old red circle one did.

>The thought of being a corporate work slave is haunting me day and night.
So don't be. There are jobs other than being a corporate drone.
>now, the problems: I've never been out camping before.
Then go camping. Pick a weekend when the forecast is good and just go. One night is good to start with and I'd suggest somewhere you can drive pretty close to where you set your tent so you can bail if you realise you forgot something important. If can't afford a tent and a sleeping bag and everything at once then start with a nice pair of trail runners and go for a day hike.
>I have a bad diet and I rarely exercise. I'm pretty weak. You get the idea.
Come one mate, you know the solution here. Improve the diet and start exercising. It doesn't really matter what sort of exercise you do, anything is better than what you're doing know. Don't let the idea of trying to find the optimal path or the search for some special tips from anons on here stop you from just getting started.

what is survivalism?
no one can really survive on their own very easily. you will spend all day trying to get enough food for that day.
You can run away from society and still live off it. dip back in for food, supplies, then bail for a few weeks at a time.
you can quit your shitty job and start your own business, run one that does something else. then you have freedom.

Before he turns 25 every man believes he can become the biggest badass on earth.

My only actual advice is that you are currently at the bottom of le dunning-kruger and it will literally be 5-10 active, practicing years of being /out/ before you are even remotely competent at anything more demanding than a fun day out.

Just start actually going out. Buy a bivvy system, appropriate shoes, water filtration system and cooking system and start going on 2 day hikes to experience personal and kit admin and care while a bit tired and on the move.

Okay but why do people do this weird cycle instead of just going outside and going on a simple hike

You are either very new, or very retarded.
these types of threads pop up so fucking much, there should be a sticky.
>HEY GUYS I WANT TO BE SELF SUFFICIENT
>I CAN'T BE ASSED TO DO ANY RESEARCH OR READ ANYTHING ON MY OWN
>PLEASE SPOON FEED ME
>OH AND CAN YOU WIPE MY ASS FOR ME TOO?
it's dumb, just so fucking dumb. numbnuts OP isn't going to do anything, anything at all. He cannot even do basic research on his own, how in the fuck would he manage alone in the wilderness??!?

His miserable slave experience is almost certainly better than whatever the fuck he'd attempt to do in the wild. He has no money, he has no land. at best he'd shit up some BLM land somewhere leaving a huge pile of shit and trash for someone else to clean up, then slink back to his parents. And thats probably the pattern in his life that led him to this point

>make bad decisions and/or be incredibly lazy
>refuse to take accountability
>make problems for other people to clean up
rinse and repeat.

coddling retards has never, in all of human history actually helped anyone.
Take your cunty greentext faggotry and eat a dick.

>I've made myself miserable though a life of shitty impulsive choices, done nothing to actually improve my situation, and now I expect you all to jerk me off!
No.

I'm planning something similar. I don't mind working remotely a couple of hours per week, as long as I don't have to see any normalfaggots IRL.
One thought that came to me was homesteading. The issue is that I'm in Europe, with gigacucked building regulations... I'm going to test the waters by renting out a cheap cabin for a week or two. If that works out, I'm going to do it again, but choose a cabin that is more remote. And if that works I'm going to buy one, probably in Sweden.
