> be out west> think you're gonna go out on a workday when people are busy at work> see this at the trailhead.
>>2881621reminds me of how big the world out there is. theres not enough people here for such crowds
>>2881619It's called a forest, retard.
>>2881621>the west is crowded hurrdurrmemetake
>>2881641it's literally full of tourists and vanlifers
>>2881621>national parks are crowded>derp>think you're gonna go out on a workdayBS. you're not in GTNP on a "workday" you're there on vacation just like everybody else. but to be fair there are multiple trails and climbing routes accessed from that parking lot. But sure, at the hieght of summer and touron season- get there early for a good spot. the trails are popular for a reason. Its not nearly as crowded today. of course, you could always go somehwere. its incredibly easy to be by yourself.
>>2881661>it's literally fullI dunno dude. I was /outWest this past weekend and didnt see anybody
>>2881661How would you know?
>>2881619East coast hiking, the view at the summit is the reward for the workout. Before social media made it explode, most east coasters would never experience views with more than 1k elevation gain. The whole thrill of a 4k is a couple hours exercise then you emerge with some epic view.
>>2881621just go more than 4 miles past the trailhead and you will not see anyone
>go on random hike>make new friendI told him all my problems he was kinda cold blooded
there's plenty of ridge/rim trails in the east you know...I agree that they should have more/better clearings for views - but that's not really even your point
>go hiking in Eastern America>acquire Lyme Disease and Alpha-Gal syndrome>die
