contributemostly wanted to experiment with the 'natural' setting on the K10DI think I used -2 saturation, 0 contrast, +1 sharpening but I adjusted it here and thereI also played with color correction in the WB but it wasn't too greatalso, /digishit/ general bread
underexposedtsk
yeah I think I tried a yellow-green color correction on this one and the last twosomewhat mixed results but I want to keep experimenting with that
fruit bat season quite pleased with this since it seems like the image processor in the K10D does better noise reduction than I can get from post-processing in RawTherapeethis was ISO-1600 and RAWs at this ISO usually have a disgusting magenta-green tinge
I took this one another afternoontook my 50-135 f/2.8 zoom to look at the fruit bats hanging out before they flew off in the twilight but it just wasn't close enough nor a bright enough daygonna go back with my 300mm at some point
I have another series of SOOC JPEGS from my a7ii to post (arguably a digishit? shit battery life anyway)I went all-in on an orange color correction look, trying to make the world look more like it does when I wear my warm-tinted sunnies
since u may run into problems uploading your vertical SOOC pics on 4chan, I have a solution for you that doesn't require much effort1. download jhead.exe from https://www.sentex.ca/~mwandel/jhead/2. download jpegtran.exe from https://www.jpegclub.org/jpegtran/3. copy and paste these executables into the folder of images with vertically oriented pics you want to upload to 4chan4. in that same folder, click on the directory address bar and type in "cmd"5. in the command line, type "jhead -autorot *.jpg"6. ???7. profit
anyway, some orange a7ii street pics
shot @ 55mmthe K10D shots were 18-35mm
pretty happy with how these look so far colour-wise
>>4477773Chudcore
>>4477772lovely pole.>>4477773bit nostalgic these colours, but I like em too.xz1 is my camera in rel, ooc. Sold it, idiot me. Sucks major fucking ass in low light though.
Has anyone here owned or used a camp snap camera? It’s one of those no screen digit shit trendy things recently, I saw one at my local Marshalls ( like Canadian TJ Maxx.) and it looked interesting for you know just to have fun with, but they wanted 80 friggin bucks for it. Seems expensive even at a discounter store. For that price, you could really get you know an old digit shit on eBay or something that might be just as good if not better with the same vibes or whatever..
>>447783180 bucks is a literal perfect-condition Zenit-E and an f/2 lens if you wanted fun
I'm still adjusting to metering this cameraseems like a bright afternoon sky can't tolerate more than +1.5 whereas the Pentax sits comfortably at +2 for clear or partly cloudy skies before blowing out at +2.5
this SOOC approach fumbles with shots like this, the shadows could really use a liftI just don't like blown-out skies
it's really quite marvellous how capable the human eye is at perceiving a high dynamic range even the best cameras do not come close without a lot of work (if bracketing could be called a lot of work)
exposing for highlights... requires post-processing for sureI would like a little more detail in the shadows, YMMV
>>4477776I meant to say u should post moarmaybe in another bread if you have heapsor a phone thread? we haven't had one for a while. the XZ1 is a sony phone, right?
at this point I wanted a tripodIBIS is good but not THAT good
I'm really enjoying the twilight at the momentideas on how to get a fast shutter speed in such low light? I'd love to get photos of their silhouettes with really sharp edges, or at least sharp enough to freeze their body in place while capturing some of their wing movement
of course I can crank the ISO but if there's a more elegant solution I'm all earsI can go to f/1.8, sure, and test out the AF.C on my cameras, yet it still might not be fast enoughmaybe f/1.8, ISO-1600 or ISO-3200 would be enough speedbut then I question how I would get a good composition. spray and pray? meh. tree branches? eh. looking up into the sky beneath a street light? yeah, maybe, if I could get lucky with one flying low enough. surprising how low they fly around sometimes.
all in all I think the late afternoon sun shots benefitted from an orange cast but I will need to devise another grade for twilight/evening stuff (and hopefully remember to change it)over and out
>>4477534How weird, I recently got a K10D for free. It feels surprisingly robust, but I haven't got a charger for it yet so I haven't used it. It did have some neato photos that I recovered with a tool from the SD.
>>4478116The most delicate part of it is the SR switch. I broke mine off I don’t know how so take care of it. There’s no other way to turn it on and off.
>>4477580Cool!I like these a lot. The jpg look and lighting is nostalgic to me. The limited DR lends a particular look, though I may have added some exposure compensation to some of these, they're a bit dark, but it's a nice look. Thanks for sharing.
>>4478137I've never known a pentax camera to not have some arbitrary cheap-out, so I guess that checks out. Even the LX I once owned has this same takeup spool design as the one found on the super A, which is like a plastic drum housing lots of little plastic spindles that were supposed to pinch the film. The drums fall to pieces as release the spindles inside the film bay. Very unfortunate.
>>4477941Oh I've got heaps indeed. Never checked befor, but it seems there are 55110 files in my photo folder. Maybe 25k raw, 30k jpegs. give or take. But very much crap of course. I just almost never ever delete.was thinking of a phone thread recently too. xz-1 is from olympus. A point and shoot.
