I didn't pick up photography for chicks, but it definitely has tangentially helped me get way more than I ever had a chance with before.
I started getting gigs taking photos in the local music scene during college and through that met people who were into the arts. lost of amateur models, fashion designers, etc. Because of that I became well known locally and that boost in social status made more girls notice me. I was getting invited to parties and stuff all the time and meeting chicks.

But the main takeaway from this isn't that you need a camera to get chicks. You need exposure(pun intended). You need to become known in whatever niche space or community you exist in. Maybe you're the guy who hosts parties, or the local musician, or just a regular at a particular club or bar, or you're apart of some organization. Just exist in some social space like that where you can see the same people over and over again and be sociable, build frinedships, and do cool shit in the open, and people will gravitate towards you.

I did portrait photography, fashion photography, nude photography and erotica.

I picked up an Olympus e500 for shits and giggles around 2006 and my gf at the time let me take a shit load of photos of her. I ended up getting a used softbox off ebay and did some "professional" photos of her. All her friends thought I was some genius photographer because I used the rule of thirds and had a real "photography light". I moved to Utah and had the idea to start a photography website and I used my ex's and her friends photos and then stole a bunch of nudes from obscure online places that couldn't be tracked down easily. I advertised on craigslist and modelmayhem for time for print shoots and bitches came flooding out of the woodworks. I had sex with almost all the chicks I photographed for 2 reasons. They all were trying to outcompete the other chicks on my website and I didn't act like a creep. Women hate feeling inferior to other women you have had contact with. When they inevitably asked about my nude work I told them that one of the super hot chicks from the stolen sets was my ex.
The way I did it back in the day probably wouldn't work today because there are so many websites that use a.i. that can track down images anywhere online. But If I were you and wanted to do this I would do a few things.
First you have to have decent equipment for this to work and you have to know how to use it and move with it like you've been doing it for years. So, a decent dslr, a speedlight with an umbrella a light meter and reflector. Even if you don't know how to use the light meter just take some measurements and make it look like you do.
Next you need to find and PAY the most popular chick in your area or someone in her circle to do a normal outdoor photoshoot. $100 for 45 minutes and at least one outfit change. Once she posts it to her ig and tags you, the chicks will flock to you if you do a good enough job. Then you'll be "THAT PHOTOGRAPHY GUY" that everyone knows. Bitches love "THAT PHOTOGRAPHY GUY!"

This echoes my experience. I was editing a girls mag in the 00s and its really a self driving train once the models see you as that kind of guy. I did painal for getting pics published for like 5 years. Briefly scared during metoo but funnily nothing came up.
