Soft EditionThe aim of this thread is to discuss compact digital cameras (digishits) and share photos from them.If your digishit has a "soft" picture mode, take some photos with it and share them in this thread. Feel free to share your digishit photos taken in any other picture mode, too.Previous Thread: >>4477534
>What is a digishit? For the purposes of this thread, digishits are digital compact cameras with 1"-type sensors or smaller.
>Camera?Pentax Optio S4i
Ive been fooling around with a powershot A650 for a while, pretty fun little crusty digishit. No soft mode though.
>>4506479Is your lens dirty or is this intentional? I'm still unsure of whether I like it or not.>>4506485Here the softness looks pretty cool, I like this one.

more of whatever this is
couple moreI've been editing these .jpg files the same way I would .dng files and I think the results are alrightobviously shit-tier pixel-level detail but I can control the contrast how I like
>>4515108
Had to compress this
>>4520593this is cool actually.
>>4515423how is it so high resolution but also so low resolution? there's only a suggestion of detail.not a knock on the view though. I like garbage. it would have been better if you swiveled right though, to include more of the park shade and less of the building on the left. somewhat unusually, I am very careful about framing my snapshits, and I would urge you to be so too.
This pic was taken with a Canon Powershot G5 in 2004
>>4522721I had the opportunity take the exact* same camera to the exact same place last month. Beautiful idea, but trees grow a lot in 24 years.*Mostly the same camera, had to transplant the top controls assembly from another G5 with a stuck shutter I bought for parts
>>4506479Is this the designated sony thread?
