Where the fuck did everyone go?
>>4507583it's the whole website. things were already declining then nosedived after the E-stein moot stuff.
>>4507583Dog snapping gearqueers, neonazis, and snoyboys killed /p/You can revive it by contributing quality cat photos. Restore 4chan to its feline glory.
I stopped shooting because someone used my camera to film a sniff video while I wasn't around apparently. Sold it to a black detour that was at the snowed in party as a joke and he paid 400 matrix cash to buy out the same camera they filmed him with lmao.Gotcha flem hours~b~
>>4507583buy the dip
Photography became more and more readily available. People did it as a hobby for a decade. The realised they didnt make any money out of it. They took fewer photos. Posted fewer photos.I think it still has a place, this board. Its a good place to dump stuff, get it seen, talk about things that piss you off.
>>4507585The funny part is each of those three categories are mutually exclusive. Dogposters are based and heal 4chan btw.
captcha and waiting systems are a pain in the ass sitewide
>>4507583>instagram spams people with images so much that content creators start using captioned video to get more information density>the masses who consume media start preferring short form video over photos and then become conditioned to it>photos, even very good ones which most amateurs could never hope to create lose value as media, cannot communicate or get attention with them as once before>instagram as a platform for photography dies, the one platform where mass consumers in great number were provided to photographers to give amateurs a chance at recognition>photographers slow to catch on, and facing sunk cost fallacy continue throwing photos on IG to get single digit or even no likes>photographers finally catch on years late, and just give up or cope "i shoot for me">all interest for photography as a hobby online dries up, starting with small niche places like /p/ but even youtube has 10% the engagement on photography content it once had, and reddit is down over 80%There you go bud.
>>4507643>>all interest for photography as a hobby online dries up, starting with small niche places like /p/ but even youtube has 10% the engagement on photography content it once had, and reddit is down over 80%do you have data for this?
>>4507583if anyone is wondering about the source of the stats in OP: https://4stats.io/the whole site has been decreasing. its not just /p/
>>4507647I think this place just doesn't appeal to younger generations and there's very little newfags coming to this site compared to 10 years ago.
>>4507583Personally I think the gay mods and the gay backseat mods who always cry whenever somebody makes a new thread is to blame.
Performative photographers finally got filtered by living in a post-simulation society. Global cost of living increases pricing out new photographers in ways that hasn't really been seen before. Indian mudflood diaspora to the west making the outdoors less enjoyable and less photogenic. Even if 4chan got new users (it doesn't) the gatekeeping influencer mafia who own wedding "photography" businesses are targeting mindrotted would-be hobbyists with a constant bombardment of information overload to scare them away and make this Fisher Price hobby for retards seem difficult to learn somehow and since they have goldfish attention spans, the psyops stick. Literally no one is doing photographers any favors. I don't think it's just photography though, people generally don't have hobbies anymore and everyone seems to be shambling around in survival mode instead of enjoying life.
>>4507583Blame the fujislugs and the staff that enabled them. When you have nannies banning people for making f/64 threads and leaving brandfag circlejerks up that's what you get. Sonyggers too helped sink the place into nothingness. Glowies and perfidious angloids trying to dox people didn't help either. And the mirrorlesscuck to AI prompter pipeline is also real. If you're content with seeing simulacra, some deformed shadows instead of reality, then it only makes sense you'll be content with AI. TCD.
>>4507659Based and Baudrillard-pilled synchronicity
>>4507661Now that I look at it again it was like 6 minutes apart, still synchronicity to me because the post loaded after I posted my own ))))
>>4507583I recently came back.Anyway, this is the whole website. But to be /p/ specific, photography is an increasingly insufferable female dominant hobby raising prices for everything.Even shit analog gear is now priced like new on my local second hand goods site
kek if you'd just draw a downward arrow on paint and write no text you would still get schizos to seethe about how photography is dead
The place is full of wankers who prattle
>>4507670Inessantly about muh art and gear they never use And fuck the captcha
>>4507660You know you specifically are part of the reason why the board sucks now? Remember when we had that poll thread where everyone voted for who they hate on here?
>>4507641>captcha>>4507671It's probably the captcha. Having to solve 3 of them every time you post discourages people from posting.
>>4507583Scared away by pedo-in-chief cANON, ambush and CineFAG
>>4507672>remember that poll that us fujislug discord trannies brigaded?
>>4507712Every accusation coming from you kikes is a confession
>>4507727>IT'S DA JOOS
>>4507727>n-n-n-no you! Can't wait for the glowies to put you in jail
>>4507621Dogposters botted the most hated user poll>dogfags on /p/>i need a z8 to photograph my husky! FUJI BAD! FUCK YOU, MICRO FOUR THIRDS!>Same, but I need a bigger sensor! 8x10 10000000mp dog! Explicitly.
>>4507726Oh my dearest huskyfag why dont you post photos anymorehttps://archive.palanq.win/p/thread/4460246/#4460343https://strawpoll.com/Qrgewx9XQyp/results
For me, this:The board culture here was never that great, but you could learn some in the olden days. Nowadays it is just a bunch of brand/meme shit posting, like that cANON in this thread going on about fujislugs and snoyboys. How does that in any way help me with my photography? It doesn't. And I'm soooo fucking done with it. Take photos with whatever you want, who cares? Sadly, just too many.Sure, stuff like that has always existed, but it feels like every thread goes there nowadays. And I've never felt safe posting my own pictures here, because well... it's 4chan. Were I to post my pictures I've always felt I could be doxed, or stalked etc. Which is on me.And well, what little photography talk I need to have nowadays there are much better places to have. Mostly I just shoot pictures instead, learn and develop by doing.
>>4507757>everyoneClassic schizo cope
>>4507760If it makes you feel any better I've posted a few hundred images over the last few years, some with myself or identifiable areas, some linking to my actual site, and post enough to have a nickname here, and doxxing hasn't been an issue for me yetJust look at what variety gets posted in RPT, most people don't seem to have a problem with dox either
