An actual macro. I don't know the magnification, but i'm guessing like 2:1 maybe more? Handheld.

pretty nice anon desu
I just don’t like how the rear branch is out of focus
>>
>>4512547

Thanks. I don't mind it personally, but the transition could be nicer. I don't know why it makes the lighter lines next to the branch. Lens is canon "chrome nose" fd 100mm f2.8

I kind of wish the dof would cover the the petals in this one. Oh, well, it's all practice. Maybe I'll have a decent portfolio of 10-15 flower pics by the end of the season.

Thanks, yeah, it's kinda hard to decipher. Sun is camera left, but trees block most direct light to the flowers. Apartment building behind the flowers is in full sun and makes an interesting background lights the flowers. Looks weird, but rather pleasing too.

Not too happy with the lily of the valley pics I took this year. Not bad, not great.

One moar for the road. I like the tiny novoflex bellows and the noflexar 105mm f4 it's such a light weight combo
>>
>>4513677
Usecase for the stupidly expensive novoflex bellows?
I m looking for bellows for my sony aspc camera to try some extreme macro using microscope lenses
150mm for fixed lenses
>220mm for infinity corrected lenses
Novoflex max elongation 161mm
All that money and unusable
Any other cheap but good belows you guys can recommend

I also have the canon bellows r, but it's not quite that long. Most are not. Just get two sets of bellows or use extension tubes or rig up a tube to add length.

This is the bellows R
>>
>>4513727
would price or name brand even matter? it just has to be light tight, yes?
>>
>>4513798

No, not really. The rails are different and some models are more stable than others. On some models you can move both ends, but I'm not sure how useful that is. They are basically just a tube with an adjustable length.

For focusing you will also need a focusing rail. Bad rails are jumpy and difficult to adjust exactly... I know I have a cheap one... And cheap ones are useless for focus stacking. Good rail for focus stacking is not cheap. I think for 2:1 you would need 0.1mm or even less movement between shots. I haven't tried to do that yet so no actual experience.
>>
>>4513798
Price matters , brand not really as long as i can use an adapter to sony e.
Was looking at wemacro electronic rail and they also have 150mm tubes for reaching 160mm from the sensor. But not more. I could buy extra tubes and shit but bellows would allow me to adjust magnification on infinity ones fast
Want 2.5x mag just adjust bellows length accordingly. Want max mag extend the bellows to reach max mag and everything in between
Fucking with 100 extension tubes is not fun in the field, time consuming, and pricey as you would need a ton of extensions tubes to play with lenght
>>
>>4513804

The old bellows are all cheap. I paid less than 50€ for the cannon r and 25€ for thr novoflex.

You can add tubes to the bellows to add more length.
>>
>>4513836

There are long extention tubes too, or youbcan rig one up. You could also add a closeup lens. That way you would retain more light too. IME even with the canon bellows extended all the way the light loss is huge.

This was nearly impossible to print, negative was completely blown out by the sun reflecting from glass pane to the side but I managed to save it with ND filter and 4 seconds exposure. First test print success.
