Shot this at Monza Circuit. What do you think about the composition/framing?

Camera: Canon EOS R50

ISO: 200
Shutter Speed: 1/100s
Aperture: f/6.3

Shot is good. Decently successful panning shot. Other than that i's a bit mild. Unfortunately any shots with a bunch of shit in the way like the fence here is going to make it look a bit mediocre. It's all about positioning when you're at a track day, and sometimes you're just not allowed into the better spots without a press pass, or the crowd just means you don't get to choose where you shoot from.

Iirc I shot picrel with an R50 and the 55-250mm. My main suggestion outside of positioning would be to slow that shutter speed way down to like 1/25th and below to get a more dramatic blur.
Also try and get some shots from head on or with multiple cars; it looks more interesting than a plain side shot.

It's a shot to be proud of. Maybe a little dark but it still works. How were the weather conditions?

So apparently it's free on some race days, neat.
It was a good occasion to use a new camera i never used before (got used from a friend just 2 days ago). A huge upgrade from a 1200d to R6m2.
Some attempts were made. Resuld were bad, but i had fun. I really need to learn how to use this machine

This was the first attempt at a panning shot.
I know it's bad, but there something i like about it

you know what would be god tier? is if you could have the blur going behind the car.
not sure how to achieve that, you'd need to pan first and then stop I guess?

i don't think you would have the car very sharp

I went back to Monza again for the Eurocup 3 weekend last week. 800+ shots, very few good. This is by far my favourite

You could combine a panning shot with a zoom pull and get something close to what you're going for. Otherwise what you want is a night-time second-curtain flash shot with enough organic exposure time to get a drag of the car behind it.

Both are things I will try on my next track day.
