Well I guess he arrived to the stop

you're gonna have to give us some context here
is this your image? if not, whose is it?
if it's yours, how'd you make it? what was your process?
if not, how'd the artist in question do it?
if there's more like it, please post more.

I think this is a reference to David Hockney dying. Pop artist and pioneer of Polaroid photography in art. RIP.
He experimented with photographic cubism. If /p/ had heroes, Hockney would be one of them.

Yup. I saw a big exhibition of his photographs when I was a teen and it blew my mind.

This is how a person actually sees things. We don't see a whole. We see tiny fragments. At first glance Hockney's pictures look almost normal, but the more you look...

Some people might look at this and think this guy lived his whole life without a wider lens. But, this is how they actually see things. They see tiny fragments.

Who’s this we? You know most people have good peripheral vision right?

>>4513981
You have zero theory of mind and a vision disorder

These are cubist, its an art circlejerk thing. He did this on purpose not because he had busted eyes and saw things like this. That’s what makes it art. The conscious decision to participate in some culture (however retarded and ivory towered it is).

These are cool as fuck. I still hate his boring paintings though.
>>
In my opinion this is similar neurotic nonsense than Cubism
>wow bro we see things from multiple angles and I have to capture that and show as one moment in time

I've been thinking about your post for a while. I think if his subjects had too much import or gravitas, it would seem inappropriate by such a whimsical style. The appropriateness of his subject and his means of capturing it are matched.

Imagine world leaders signing treaties or young rebels fighting a guerilla war. There would be dissonance at a few levels. I agreed with you initially but now I don't: I think his subject matter is fantastic. Makes me want to try this tight cubist style for myself.

It’s not about the gravitas of the subject, it’s about the general interest. The story the subject is telling.

What is this man thinking behind the cig? He seems to be joking in some of the face shots but also contemplative in others. It’s a naturally intriguing subject that creates a narrative that is enhanced by the way he presents the subject to us.

But a lot of the other photos are just unique collages of snapshits
