A photograph is simply a photon's recorded wave function. It ripples through spacetime and is possible due to it being electromagnetic fields. Digital cameras treat its fields like a solar panel would. Why it act like this is in order for a photon to get its wave function quantization exist. So all in all it is just the energy of quantization. Possible due to the mathematical nature of the universe. And all of this photography is possible because a photon's wave function can be accumulated enough to be recorded. The joke I make about this is that it is like engineering an image from how a camera is exposed to the scene it sees from the ripples of light.

Now how does light strike? As a wave interference of electromagnetic fields. Most things reflect if back out electromagnetically, but a camera due to that exposed electron captures it.It is all the quantum power of em fields.
Light has to exist because energy and matter has to interact with each other uniquely because of the quantum mathematical nature of the universe.Because particles interact to form atoms, the particle wave function that is light, exists as a leftover because particles need structure to exist mathematically given the creation of the universe, and as a leftover you put it back into an atom gives an electron too much energy to deal with in its structure, so it has to create a photo to deal with that structure indifference. If you want your image it takes a shit ton to get right. I suggest you find a trustworthy lab in your country to send it out to rather than fucking it up chemically. God knows had I photographed my grandmother on film before she died how fucked I would have been had I to make sure the chemical reaction was right to get my image or I would have electromagnetically would have lost the em field from light I captured.You are essentially gonna be doing a lot to get your image and not know if it went right or not until you got the chemical reaction right. Now where does light exist? Naturally as a radiating quantum field in the space of the universe. This exists along with leptons and quarks, and light exists like this as a boson. Your camera has to have the right electron to expose it to this. Thus an exposed image given it is a photograph.
