Too bad that all local second hand models of Nikon cameras have 200-300k shutter counts, some even after mechanism replacement. Purchased a second hand Fujifilm x half for fun.
Out of the four film camera mode rolls I have created, two stopped out of nowhere. This deletes any pictures taken within the virtual roll, including the temporary folder it creates.

The camera quality is that of a 2014 smartphone and it's a digital camera which does not reliably store photos.

The big lens isn't a Sony, it's a Zeiss. Their 40mm is actually 1mm shorter and 2mm smaller in diameter than Nikon's. It's also a better lens. Sure it's 2/3 of a stop slower but it doesn't need stopping down, you'll get a better image with the Sony wide open and bumping the ISO up than with the Nikon wide open.

DSLR isn't good for a beginner in 2026 since you will be learning an obsolete workflow which is letting the camera decide the exposure and then "fixing" it in post.

I suggest getting one of these LCD viewers and then using the camera as a mirrorless is used. Enable live view exposure simulation if it's not on by default, switch to full manual and ignore the meter. Set the exposure to what looks good to you. You will need to make sure that the screen is decently calibrated, but it looks like Nikon offers a good level of control.
