If the B&W is done properly then it is, because it means you chose to focus on textures, shapes, or abused how color filters interact for a good reason.

That would be cool to see. Daniel Milnor does a lot of text/photo collage type stuff worth checking out. He's not my favorite photographer, and his audience is mostly boomers, but I admire his enthusiasm and pursuit.
