I'm gonna dump the pictures I took on my first trip to China and share my impressions along the way. Save for the snaps, I mostly shot analog with my F90x, and with my gf's mju.

I'm very much open to criticism.

Elderly people in parks just do whatever they want, whether it's karaoke or horn instruments. It's seems like they gather according to their specific talent and just roll with it. The guy with a sax just stood in his own corner.

This picture is taken outside of the Xingguang Photographic Equipment City. This is a five story big shopping mall. This mall has separate floors for new cameras, accessories, used cameras and repair shops. I got some film, remote cable for the Nikon and fixed my 35 mm lens, which we'll come back to.

The door in the middle is where we got our breakfast in Shanghai. They served jianbing until 10 am. Across the street they served baozi. A typical breakfast would cost 15 RMB, while the coffee at Manner costing 20 RMB. We mostly got our coffee at Family Mart for 12 RMB.

50D verdict:
I have not yet found a proper way to correct the colors for this roll. It behaves like a slide film in terms of dynamic range, while offering no beautiful colors in return. The remaining roll I have in my frigde is very disposable.

The railway stations in China are insane. They're halv a shopping mall and an airport. FYI you have to go through security on subays and trains. The security on subways are very lax, so I just kept my camera on my shoulder. For train and intercity travel, I kept my film in a clear plastic bag and gave it to the staff when walking through the metal detector.

It's kind of frustrating to be early to your train, beacus you can't enter the platform earlier than 10 minutes before departure. Always remember to check which train you're boarding!!!

For the images taken with the 35 mm, they were over exposed. After the service I got in Shanghai, it went from 3, to 1,3 stops overexposed. This is due to the aperture blades. I have still yet so fix this AF-D lens, so I only use it with color negative film only for now.
