nice guy but damn his photos suck
>>4526139He seems extremely pretentious to me, but he is a New Yorker 'artist' so what can I really expect.
His appeal isn't the photos its the whole sleazy nyc con man aesthetic, like James Woods. zoomers love that shit. He would be better off doing a reality show.
>>4526198I didn't even notice the young Woods resemblance until you mentioned it. The key is the parted hair, the movie I saw him in he had a buzz cut.
>>4526139No street photographer is good. Period. It's all genuine garbage.
>>4526139and yet millions of people have seen them and only a handful of idiots on 4chan have seen yours, if you even have had the balls to post in the RPT which I doubt. Curious : )
>>4526289not true my mom has seen them
OI
>>4526294>This picture portrays some gay pop-culture faggotry that only redditors care about also I am completely wrong because I base my input on crap redditors write and thus the Jews are never to blame.
>>4526305Who are you even talking to, schizo?
>>4526307He's paraphrasing the AI. Day of the unplugging soon.
All these people are gay for pay, right?
>>4526294Can we all agree the incompetent clankers for the masses are a distraction from what they keep from us all? It's not just the post-truth era and generative imagery. It's also being able to make it seem it's not doable, and simultaneously being able to blame "mistakes" on the clankers like bombing 168 schoolgirls as a tribute to moloch. It's a perfect scapegoat and weapon, in one.
>>4526441One day someone will make a cAnon ai with all your posts and you'll find yourself arguing with it. Should be pretty funny.
>>4526287i think alex webb is objectively goodbut not many others
>>4526139>"one of my favourite photos I've ever taken"
>>4527450>mogs /p/
>>4526139
>>4528383>looks like he's shitting himself and about to cry>"that's not going to rattle me">"that was super aggressive, but it was fine"https://youtu.be/HjuP527Xt2Q?t=1933
>>4528459tf was he supposed to do, suck the negro's dick?
>>4528485he could've at least posted the photo instead of bending the knee
>>4528459I've seen some people say it was faked and it seems like it is, since the audio quality is far too good compared to his other encounters in the same video.
>>4526139>>4526143>>4526198Dude's photography sucks but we should learn one thing from him: image matters in art. The way you carry yourself is also important. One can become a double edged sword if the work and image both are good. Maybe I should start acting a certain to catch some attention. Here's a question I want to ask /p/:Is it good to be authentic no fucks given kinda photographer or is it good to build an image/personality through artifice(art is artifice so why not practice this irl too)?I mean think about rockstars, they all act a certain way. Nobody would take a fat as fuck dude to be a rockstar. So why we as photographers should shy away from creating/presenting an image that is similar to our work? Isn't it good marketing strategy too?
>>4526139Heβs sexy.
>>4526482what's good about this?
>>4530179looks cool
>>45301793 frames in one and cool colors
>>4529984> image matters in art. The way you carry yourself is also important.Pretty much. A lot of the most popular photographers currently typically either dress very fashionably (normie level I mean) or dress in that artistic style of fashion that appeals to other artsy people. It's dumb but it's just how it works, as you see some of those just badly dressed normie nerdy types around and they just don't get the same attention at all.It also probably dates back a little to very early photography where it was considered something professional, where they were dressed as high society types. This also translates into what your camera looks like too, where something like a Ricoh would have people see you as just some guy with an old tourist camera versus a DSLR or some classic looking film camera that people would think "this guy knows his shit." Combine a pro looking camera and dress up a little, and people will look at you as being a pro.
>>4530595Neurosis
>>4529984>>4530595>You need to dress well to take photosThis board is so fucking gay and low iq lol
>>4530657I know. Anything to avoid actually doing real photography.
>>4530657Where did I say that? Because the post I replied to was about getting attention on your work, not whether your work was good.
>>4526441>>4526450I hate cANON as much as the next guy but you have to admit he's not wrong here
>>4530595I dress so people stay away from me while I shoot. The landscape is for me not them
>>4530606>>4530657>>4531725No, no. It's not just about fashion but also "the way that you carry yourself". The way you act and speak, your manners etc. This dude presents the image of a sleazy ny lone hipster on the street vibe. He is tapping into the audience. His work is shit but let's take the example of good photographer from ny who had both, work and personality. Pic related is Weegee and motherfucker literally looks like photographer straight out of noir novels and films. Suits, cigars, big camera, being fat sleazy slob etc. The whole mystique of a strange photographer smoking cigars and listening whole day to a police radio just shoot a photo of a crime scene before the arrival of police. You can watch the films that he made for lolz on YouTube, see his personality shines through it. This dude is tryna be a sterile, thrift store, vegan food, politically correct version of Weegee for trust fund zoomers in ny. Not the work but at least in image, it's either Weegee or Garry Winagrand or copying his millennial peer, that condom beanie wearing snapshitter from brooklyn David Arnold or whatever his name is.
