i thinks they're pretty neat, but even in the same Canon line, the biggest upgrade was adding USB C

Documentaries, interviews, events, concerts, backstage. They are super useful, but zoomers prefer full frame hybrid cameras with 5x zoom lenses, 30min battery life, and f1.8 toneh where one eye is in focus and the othee isn't

I have the XA50 and it's great for longer shoots.

The battery price is kinda high, but at least you got a full hour on 4K
