"Do not upload random snapshots" has been a meme ever since the fujislugs were allowed to take over ca. CY. The board took a nosedive and never recovered. Now in CY+11, the consequences are readily noticeable.

They're obviously not followed. There's not even a link to them in the sticky. I think the board could be improved massively if #1 were followed strictly (i.e. eliminate gearfagging and brand war bullshit). You would have to own the camera you were talking about and, according to rule #2, take a decent photo of it if you were to talk about it with an image post. That doesn't happen. No one enforces these rules and they're not even displayed somewhere you could be reminded of them every time you log onto /p/ (newfags never log out of 4chan).

PS: Enforcing #1 would eliminate WEBM posting from India or encourage users to make OC for their sperg-tier brand bashing. Lazy memes would be snuffed out like granny without her life support.
