I was looking for for my copy of ChronoTrigger in the basement when I came across this box from when I was 15/17. These are some of the letters and notes girls used to send me. Most of them are folded normally. However some of them range from unusual to insane. The origami folded ones I literally haven't opened in 15+ years because I don't wanna fuck up the folds trying to get them back the same way. Is this a thing or was I just living in a different timeline?

Then there's this one. Which came from another girl. Where were girls learning these styles?

Huh.. I thought the letter folding was kinda interesting. I guess not lol.

Im 43. I used to see these in high school. I actually found one stuffed in an old box the last time I moved. I unfolded it and took a picture of the note. Never thought about grabbing one all folded up.

Man that takes me back. I'm not sure I ever got one that complicated but yeah we used to pass them back and forward to kids on different bus routes.
In hindsight they probably put in a bunch of effort I didn't appreciate. I wonder if some Cleo magazine or something taught them it.
>>
I would love to see more examples if anyone has them.

we used to fold paper in this style back in school but not for love messages but to play some kind of randomiser game with different stuff written behind each flap

Damn, this takes me way back. I autisticly saved ever note I ever got. I may pull out the box and snap some pictures. It was no secret that every girl knew how to fold like this. God knows where they all learned it. Seems like there was one that was most commonly used where I was from and it was similar to this >>629456. Occasionally they'd include a little pull tab for easy opening. Clever girls.

I got this one ALL the time from multiple girls in middle to high school.
