I know who QuarterPounder is, but what is this about?

Is this really a surprise to anyone? While someone might have their days in the sun as a streamer and make enough to live off, or get wealthy, it's incredibly rare. And has only gotten harder as the market got saturated. It means more people competing for the same amount of eyeballs, logically it means less money for the creators.

It's not to say that someone can't ever make it and live off their income from streaming, especially if they have modest means. Where you should always be sceptical of however, is when you see them being able to pay multiple people as well as themselves.

Ask yourself, does the level of viewers and superchats on stream look like it could actually support what you're seeing? Because if it isn't, then you have to ask where the money is coming from.

In the case of this guy, I assumed he took MIGA money a long time ago. Fading in relevancy, it does create a kind of desperation for someone who might stream so regularly, they've put so much time into it that it's basically a sunk cost fallacy and huge blow to their ego for them to just be open and say "it's not worth it, I'm out".

There is something to be said about those who bow out gracefully. One way to ruin your reputation is to take money from land thieves that are also child rapists and killers. Is your ego really that important to you that you just, don't care if it's blood money or just dirty money? It might be time to reevaluate your life buddy.
