if its a grenade drone you wont even see or hear it until its too late
>>
>>535653228
Those are super outdated already. At most you would be assassinated by one of these in civilian spaces.
The modern, invisible and unstoppable AI swarm drones that Ukraine is rolling out right now...these should scare you.
>>
Aren't like 70% of soldiers in Ukraine killed by artillery? Just like most other wars

>>
>>535653228
maybe eventually all warfare will just be drones and autonomous tanks and robots fighting and no human on the frontlines. sounds science fiction but we area already seeing drones blowing up other drones, i can already see a new branch of military forming of just drone troops.
>>
>>535655146
That's exactly what is happening but it won't be a good thing for humanity because we are not in that picture
>>
>>535653228
How do you actually counter these things? Should soldiers just carry little mini-EMPs around or something?
Or maybe a little pole thing that they wear like a backpack that has a little tiny gun attached to it and uses ai to auto detect enemy drones and shoots them down like that the jew iron dome anti missile thing

>>
>>535655397
For civilians the best we got is a shotgun or special shot rounds for your rifle. Military has microwave guns and systems for vehicles but nothing is proven as the best yet it seems
>>
>>535655310
its not that humans aren't in the picture, humans are going to be making and controlling and directing the drones, un-manned tanks and jets and boats will be killing other un-manned tanks and boats. only when one military's drone army is depleted then they would have to send actual people with guns to go fight. think of it as a "buffer war" think about it we already have "proxy wars" that haven't stopped since the cold war, Vietnam, Korea, etc were wars to just export the fighting to other people, the next logical step is to just make robots fight on our behalf

EMP wouldn't stop the drone from just flying above you beyond the range of a EMP blast and just dropping a bomb on you, and a EMP is like discharging a capacitor, there is no portable device that can just be blasting emps constantly, even if you could do that it would render your own radio or wtv communication equipment useless also , AND and EMP blast cant stop a rocket motor targeting you from 200 ft away and just doing the math, flying right towards you with a 10 pound bomb
>>
>>535654228
Plainly put, we don't know right now due to propaganda coming from both sides. I think the kia numbers depend on the offensive action. A large scale push will be hit by arty. The small scale three man squad probing, often times either killed by drones or cleared out by troops.
>>
>>535656092
most likely just a pressure activated tip in front of the rpg warhead, the picture OP posted looks like the tip was removed and filled with cork for training purposes

nah they only need americans
>>
>>535656713
But doesn't that require a certain velocity to set off the round? Maybe they were modified to be more sensitive?
>>
>>535656960
the RPG-7 existed before such concepts as "minimum arming distance"
If the warhead is armed it will detonate, there have been instances where people have killed themselves by tripping while carrying an armed RPG-7

Let me go through a let of what I've heard of being used so far:
>emp
Another anon already explained why this isn't possible on large scale. I know the coyote anti-drone drone that is in testing phases right now uses that, but emps can easily fry you're own shit.
>microwaves
This can also fry your shit if you're not careful. But the real problem with this is that it's either a stationary unit, or on a large vehicle. Deploying these in large numbers wouldn't be possible for a number of reasons, and even if we could they'd just end up being hit my a sneaky drone that hit the back end of the antenna.
>jamming
Jamming is flooding a receiver with a wide range of frequencies so that it can't filter them properly. You can counter this via not receiving via antenna or not having a receiver at all. So just use fiber optic or direction scripts, the latter is easier to hit by soldiers so it's not used often.
>birds of prey
This isn't a joke, both the russian and the indian armies have tested this with falcons, eagles, and hawks. The conclusion was they proform well, are hard to detect via radar due to being birds, but don't breed enough to be viable. If cloning ever gets cheap maybe.

>>535657767
>radar
This isn't a way to counter, but part of the process. There are two issues with current radars when in reference to fpv drones. One, they are still not detecting them well enough. Two, training the technicians to maintain these systems is a long process and they don't produce that many per class. When I was in tech school a class for raws techs was considered big is it had 4 or 5 students, and just to get through the electronics and radio blocks would take three'ish months, add in specific systems training and on the job training afterwards and it take forever to get a functional technician. This is also a problem for microwave systems. Even if we scaled up production of these things, we don't have the man power to maintain and use them atm.
>net guns
Just use a shotgun, kek
>sentry guns
Needs good sensors and radar to work, meaning more technicians needed to maintain the apparatus. I'm not sure how well thay'd work in practice, but I'd be worried about it's friend or foe detection system.
>Shotguns or other such weapons
They work if the men can spot the drones quick enough. I've been wondering if you could train a dog to spot and alert if their is one nearing by. Anyways it's a basic solution, but one of the easier ones to deploy.

>>
>>535656960
ive seen many videos on these drones with what looked like wire coat hangers jutting out from the front, i thought it was like some communication device but who knows. either way whatever mechanism set off the RPG is obviously working ive seen 100+ videos just here on 4 dicks of drones filming other drones blowing people apart to know it works. most of these drones have a spool of fiber optic wire attached so a guy 2 miles away could just be pressing a "detonate" button on a fucking ps2 controller

another thing to consider is that most drones have a spool of fiber optic wire connected to them that can be like 2 miles long, if the drone is EMP hardened which isnt that hard to accomplish, it cannot be jammed because it doesn't rely on OTA signals. looks at pictures of ukraine with the spider web of fiber optic wires everywhere

What about making a vehicle design to take hits from drones to bait them and it's armed with two machine shotguns on a crows system.

By vehicle would just be a remote control tank.

Go full 40K on it and have the motto of "if I can't have drones, no one will have drones!"
