Honda uses the same design studio (Pininfarina) as Ferrari. They did it for the original NSX.

And Ferrari hired Honda engineers to design their F1 engines after they withdrew in 1992.

Then again someone like you making these kinds of comments has no idea of the motorsport and automotive design world.

>one of the biggest automakers of Japan is going bankrupt
if Nissan is still in business, Honda will be too

they are not delaying production btw, they are delaying model refreshes and designs.

their real problem is they fumbled in the EV-era. the Prologue was retarded collaboration with GM (it's basically a re-skin) and their Prelude reboot looks interesting but I don't see how they will sell many of them as a hybrid automatic (they'd have been better to rebrand it as the CR-Z nameplate).
>>
>>535830061
That FIAT is beautiful. I give you 17k € for it.
>>
sorry, my mistake, they scrapped an entire $15b factory in Canada, and have had their first ever profit loss, -$3b because they went full retard into EVs (they didn't even make 1 good one).
Gas models ofc on hiatus because they weren't developing them, showrooms full because economy bad new car expensive. Prelude was a massove flop. Integra was a massive flop.

Skateboard battery architecture inherently raises the beltline. You sit on the powertrain, hence why the roofline must also go up. EVs have to look like eggs for packaging reasons.
>>
Huh do you think Japan will bail out Honda like the US bailed out it's entire auto industry?
>>
>>535831179
Integra was not a massive flop here in the US anyways. I see them all over the place and own the Type-S myself.

I was a doubter of it because I remember the original models including the RSX. When I took my NSX for service they gave me an Integra A-Spec loaner for a couple days and I was pretty impressed. I just didn't want a CVT and needed a little more power but the overall car felt nice.

They had a Type-S on the lot and I replaced my boring everyday beater car (Model 3) with it. It's essentially the Civic Type R in a more luxury sedan liftback design. Same powerplant, same setup.

As much as I wanted to be a hater of it, I have to give them credit, it's a good all around car. Even the CVT felt a lot better than 2017-era Civics, you could see the beginning of their "Shift+" mode that the Prelude has where the CVT has a more "gear" feel rather than rubber band.

It's because of aero which contributes to range efficiency (just like it does for fuel economy). They think they need to compete on range numbers to consumers.

It's not capitalism. It's corporate operations.
Capitalism creates all, everyone engages.
Corporations then cookie cut the thing until it's total shit so they can mass produce it on an assembly line.
>>
>>535830514
I'd say this one's for China.
The Emirates don't exactly have a short supply of petrol, and the car guys there really, really love their big engines.
EV there isn't cool, it's for normie plebs and passé. Only the Rimac really caught wind and it did so by ploughing 1500 horsepower into the tyres and setting itself on fire.

But in China, now that's a different story.
Loads of new money there, in a market that doesn't have good classic cars or big-engined supercars.
This piece of shit design even looks like it's made for the Chinese market.

Honda leadership raped the company with the back and forth in and out of full EV or not.
It fucked investor confidence up and made them an even less cool brand to consumers than Honda already was.

What Honda needs is a partnership with Toyota to get that multifuel engine and put them in small cheap hatchbacks for the European market.
What people need during times of economic calamity is cheap and reliable motoring, the cheapest possible.
I'm imagining something like the SuperCub but for automobiles.

it's a shit stopgap technology, EVs can only catch on through communist mandates. The infrastructure for mass adoption just isn't there and it won't be there for 50-100 years. Blame Elon for cucking every automaker into pissing 10 years of R&D money into 'Tesla beaters'.

I agree with you that Honda has been sleeping on the top end market. And yes 100% agree about the modern BMW "Supra".

It's why I will never get rid of my '91 NSX and '06 S2000. The most exciting modern car from Honda has been the Civic Type R, which you could say isn't really a halo car even though it's S-tier for what it is.

It's funny at the NSX meetups the old gen and "new" (2017) owners are essentially two separate groups like oil and water. They rarely mix and represent entirely different drivers. The only thing they really share is the nameplate.

I am still forever disappointed they cancelled the V10 NSX and settled for the new model which does not share any real design language. Last year the Pininfarina design studio reimagined the NSX in a modern style and I think it looks sick (picrel).

I blame increasing absurd regulations for ruining the industry for the last two decades.

I loved cars when I was a kid. My parents used to take me to car shows, it was incredible seeing all the sports cars, concepts and new models in general. Every car looked different, felt different.
All the car shows are gone. Noone bothered to visit them, all the goymobiles are just different shades of the same gay design today.
Im absolutely sure this is on purpose, as is with architecture or art. Cant look around and see beautiful things, everything has to be depressing and humiliating.
God, I hate jews so much.

While we're on the subject of Tesla beaters..Unironically, the BYD seagull is probably the most based EV in my opinion just by the way China is trying to slip them into the American economy through Canada. For $8500, this chink mobile shits on Tesla.

Disclaimer: it doesn't really shit on Tesla, it just looks better imo. It's suspension, sticky brakes, software glitches, and occasional battery range discrepancies are frequent complaints, I just want to see Elons fag mobiles crash and burn. And no, I am not a commie.
>>
>>535832162
I got them years back for a good price before they exploded in value, unintentionally both in Sebring silver. Single owners and OEM when I got them (aside the S2K radio, which is fine).

I have to say they are unsurprisingly reliable and have not given me any major issues. Obviously in a 30+ year car it's required some rubber things being replaced but the motor is bullet proof and timing belt replaced not too long ago.

Eventually I'll trade in the Integra to get an SUV since the wife wants something bigger and eventually more family oriented. Looking at the Cayenne S E-Hybrid for the best of both worlds.

I can't handle BMW after they did the god-awful pig nose fronts, and Mercedes had a good run but now add these weird grills to the GL models.

Don't want a truck but I do like the Land Cruisers. Might be a possibility though the wife really likes the styling of the Cayenne. I know it's going to be stupid money but if it's a good car then I'm not that worried.

I know Porsche can be a mixed bag and I have no experience owning one, but I see a lot of even the Gen1 Cayennes still around...

Also, if you want a "modern NSX" experience a lot of the guys tell me that the Audi R8 was essentially the closest spiritual successor to the driving feel.

They perhaps want to drive their family in a Ferrari , or their friends, biw that's an user base I could see interested in this, Ferrari doesn't mass produce, isn't ford GM or stellantis, they produce in small batches compared.
Do I like it? Not particularly , but it's an audacious move, time will tell if a successful one.

It looks pretty bad for a Ferrari.

It's looks like an average Chinese EV. BYD has better designs.

I suppose they will add nice things, like leather stitching or whatever. But it's appealing to a female market. Women don't understand cards, they don't like cars... they just like cars because men like cars, and women like to pretend they are men, but without the downsides. But the irony is that men only like cars because it gets them women... but wealthy women aren't more successful with men than any other female. Men literally don't care about women's material possessions. This is why that Ferrari EV looks so pointless, because it's chasing a pointless market.

The 80s saw some of the most beautiful and original car designs in history. Most cars had unique look to them. The fact you post a cherrypicked picture which includes 3 toyotas that all share the same chassis and 2x RX7 only proves my point. And if you believe that Nissan 200 looks the same as the camaro because they're both red, you have mental issues. Not to mention all those cars have completely different backs by which you could tell them apart in one second.
The pop-up headlights were a cool design experiment, yes, they werent very practical and required maintenance twice a year, but I miss these type of things. Again, all cars today look identical, unless you bring up something like a Pagani that costs a million.

No one is going to agree with you, but I understand you and have come to a similar conclusion. Though it is more than just cookie cutting, the leaders in any industry, they lobby and cut deals with government regulators that 90% of the time make competition harder, resulting in monopolizing more of the already leading positions of those industries.

Like, I am of the opinion corporations are the embodiment of pure evil. The literal worse of humanity stacked together, accumulating into what we call "corporations" in modern times. The whole maximizing profit margins in corporate settings, is in effect groups conspiring how to exploit and inflict maximal harm on society.
