Cannabis products appear to have “beneficial effects” for people struggling with the symptoms of chronic pain, according to a new study— with the results indicating relief from both intoxicating and nonintoxicating cannabinoids.

Researchers affiliated with the University at Buffalo, University of Michigan Medical School and MoreBetter recruited 64 people with fibromyalgia, 25 with rheumatoid arthritis and 75 with osteoarthritis of the knee and/or hip to participate in the trial.

The participants, all of whom were California residents, were randomly assigned to take one of three different cannabinoid products via oral capsule over 12 weeks and report their pain, mental health, cognitive functioning and physical functioning using questionnaires.

Product 1 contained 12.5 mg cannabidiol (CBD) and 12.5 mg tetrahydrocannabinol. Product 2 had 10 mg tetrahydrocannabinolic acid, 10 mg cannabidiolic acid (CBDa) 5 mg cannabigerol and 3 mg cannabichromene. Product 3 was comprised of 10 mg CBD and 10 mg CBDa.

“There were significant improvements across all symptoms except cognitive function abilities,” the paper, published in the journal Clinical Therapeutics, says. “Effects ranged from small to large with most not differing in magnitude across product or type of chronic pain.”

“Participants reported substantial improvements in sleep quality, mental health conditions, and general quality of life, allowing them to engage more fully in daily activities,” the study found.

“Results suggest that cannabinoid formulations containing both THC and cannabinoids other than THC (eg, THCa, CBDa, CBC, and CBG) may have positive effects on chronic pain symptoms of various etiologies,” the authors wrote.

“Cannabis products may serve as an alternative to opioids for pain management, reducing dependency."

Reducing pain does improve healing, are you daft?
Pain sensation pulls from the same energy pool as every other activity you do during the day. Being in constant or chronic pain means your body has less energy to heal, including interruptions to your sleep where healing happens the most.
So yes a reduction in pain improves the body's ability to heal.

Yes but being on cannabis all the time isn't viable. I have the 50/50 CBD/THC vape and gummies for my chronic pain and I cannot use it and be functional throughout the day so instead I gave it up and I gave up all my painkillers too.

Something that may interest you is that the new hypothesis on autism is linking it to fibromyalgia. It is called the intense world theory first put forth in 'unifying theory of neurobiological autism'. Essentially autistic people and fibromyalgia patients have a huge crossover which is right now converging in science and this is only just being discovered now. The idea goes like this, autistic people are physically, emotionally and aesthetically sensitive, while fibromyalgia which is now being called central sensitivity syndrome is moving in the exact same direction, they aren't just physically sensitive to pain they are emotionally and physically sensitive.

We are currently lacking data but it was only 6 or so months ago this connection was established between the two. They will be firming linked within 10 years and maybe we can begin to raise autistic/CSS patients in more controlled environments because there is speculation that autism/CSS will lead to the development of new novel senses, such as the ability to sense electromagnetism which we only just proved is possible for humans based on a physiological change in the brain that occurs when magnets are placed in new areas.

I have bad arthritis, constant aches and pains. I like to smoke a little bit of THC-A at the end of the day and get relief and drift off to sleep. If i forget my acetaminophen or ibuprofen, so much the better. There's no real buzz the next morning, and after a good night's sleep I have my full faculties all day until I'm done. But if I'm doing my own chores, like weed whacking a large property, if I wanna do it stoned that's my fucking business.

Autism is caused by social neglect by parents from aged 3-5. Doctors don't recognize this because it's socially inconvenient.

Also aluminum which causes brain swelling and social dysfunction. Vaccines.

I have level 2 autism (can't hold a job, can't function in public, can barely function online) and fibromyalgia runs in the family alongside it. Not really surprised they are connected. I only take a 50mg gummy at night, listen to music for a bit and pass out. I can't relax normally, that one hour of my day that I am high and able to stop overthinking everything is the only thing keeping me going in this nightmare demon clown world. These threads worry me that the little bit I take is making me dumber.

Cannabis has anti-inflammatory properties, and many anti-inflammatory drugs have potentially dangerous or uncomfortable side-effects. I just got prescribed an NSAID for back pain, and the instructions say to remain upright for ten minutes afterward due to risk of acid reflux or ulcers. They're also harsh on the kidneys.
>>
>>535836523
fibromyalgia is fake and gay. i'm sure it made them feel better though. why can't they just admit they want to get high?
>>
>>535840518
Anti inflammatories are the opposite of healing retard. Inflammation is the body needing repair. Stopping the inflammation stops repair. You feel more comfortable but nothing is fixed.

"Genetics" is the excuse Jews use to treat symptoms instead of causes. No, 99% so not have genetic disorders. The only problem is a Jew milking people for insurance codes.

>>535844573
fibromyalgia is a very simple disease to explain. When you hurt your finger an electrical signal goes to your brain to let you know your finger is hurt. When you have fibromyalgia your brain receives the same signal without anything happening to your finger.

weed (sativa) or any drug that affects the connections in your brain like anti depressants will work great for fibromyalgia. Pain killers or anti inflammatories will not.

Inflammation can help things heal faster sometimes but in modern times quick healing is actually not preferred. Slowing things down ensures no scar tissue is formed.
The body evolved in a much more dangerous world we don't need fast healing anymore.

re: the OP's image - pain that's of musculoskeletal origin is cured by retraining the correct movement patterns via a targeted strength training regime. Most of you are still of an age where your bodies are still good but remember this when you're 35+. Life is hard when your body doesn't move well.

>>535846763
(((Fibromyalgia))) is the side effect of a spine that's moved out of ideal alignment. That is the stimulus - the body has to compensate for this position, leading to joint overload throughout the body. And it's often a lot more subtle than pic related suggests.

Cannabis pain relief is inferior to the pain relief provided by the Bullet Pill.

Pharmacology kikes will never admit this truth because if everyone in the world are just one Bullet Pill, their matrix of lies and bullshit would be finished.
