The ones with heatsinks in the ground on a water loop are but that's a difference in cost of 17k for full installation of 2 exterior units and 3 interior ones of air-air pumps to 50k for one exterior unit air-liquid, plus another 20k to be able to use it as AC without making your floor into a swamp. Not including installation costs which are also way higher. The difference in price (not including electricity to run it in the winter) for air-liquid heat pump and a wood stove is enough to cover like 15-20 years of wood and you can use the stove to heat water for showers etc. too. Air-air heat pumps go below 2:1 efficient around 5-10 degrees and below 1:1 at -5. It's a fucking meme for heating or it's so expensive it's just not worth it. Great for cooling especially with free electricity though. For reference, the regular around here for the past few years has been a temp range of -30 winter to +30 summer. Both prolonged for weeks or more.
