It would be like if Ford motor company decided that actually they idea of selling cars in volume wasn't profitable enough anymore, and instead of selling 10 million new trucks a year at 50k each to normal people, they make more profit per expenditure by shutting down all of their factories by one, shifting production to super-high end sports car toys for rich people, and only selling 10-15 cars a year but each one sells for 220 million dollars. Catering just to the wealthy as their primary base makes them more money, the fact that this means that average joe can't get to work *isn't their problem*.
