Hitler would be classified as right leaning while the party would be more center. They were basically working towards being a state by the Germans for the Germans. He hated Communism and the whole Marxism movement, banned unions and so on. The party as a whole not only preserved private ownership, but actively worked with a lot of major companies. Most of the time people just see "socialism" and go "LEFT!" when most parties just use it as a name, but rarely does anything even remotely Marxist. In terms of National Socialist Party, they spoke a lot about workers right until they came into power. Then they sang a different song.
