only ever enjoyed GTA II and vice city. maybe just getting too old but don't like any of the other ones. i remember being very impresed with GTA IV from a technical point of view, especially the physics and driving, but it ran like horse shit on PC and didn't enjoy the game much. GTA V was the same for me. vice city was fun because it was based on an environment that no longer exists (old miami). why the fuck would you want to replay modern life in a game that's so boring.

And the police in the game is both handled with an "ACAB" lens while also restricting how far you can outrun the law before it auto-triggers a game-over, because it's too politically incorrect to shoot cops if they're women or black.

Previously the edgiest game you can buy, GTA3, is replaced with one that appears to have tons of sex, no gore/blood in trailer, no bad language, and sanitized marketing. They have a major issue from what I’ve seen in the trailer. The old games were popular because it was about revenge on governance mechanisms, criticizing societal extravagance, and roleplaying a criminal agent with huge firepower. The hot coffee mod that shipped long ago was controversial. Now the sleaze features are in the trailer, showing its your average PG13/R movie. They should just upped the violence, blood, gangs, gameplay, and firepower levels and stuck with the usual edgy dialogue.They are really afraid of someone copying the game IRL, so they turned it into a soft R movie over time. With todays systems you could do anything like simulated brains spilling out, or total chaos, but you are getting a standard third person game with a lot of background detail. If that isnt true they need to show whats actually in the game.
