Even if you dont want to post actual numbers then percentages. How much of your income per month or year did you spend with 401k or retirement account contributions counting as expense. How much did you have in an emergency fund? Did you live above your means, were you paycheck to paycheck, etc?I find this data difficult to find. Personally, I spend 67% of my income and 33% are saved. Once my savings get above whatever amount I desire in my emergency savings then I dump it into individual stock investments or other short term investments. For example, I increased my emergency savings to 9 months of my average required spending such as rent, groceries, etc plus 10% if prices spike. It was 6 months a year ago but Trump is doing retarded things so I increased it. I have no fear of finding another job if I am laid off, I see my type of work having job postings anytime even during covid layoffs but the peace of mind reduces stress to a minimum.
