And they're not building affordable housing anymore, they're only building luxury housing. Or more accurately, they're building housing cheaply that they market as luxury to maximize profits. One way hostile countries divide and conquer the West is to trick the younger generations into thinking that their elders are the ones that caused all their problems and abused them. That's because countries like Russia can't raise itself up, so it engages in destabilization campaigns to tear other nations down. But society survives best when elders are respected and taken care of. Native American tribes, they didn't have much, but their social structure was strong because everybody had a job, everybody had a place to live, everybody had a chance to prove themselves and the elderly were treated well.
