It is generally believed that Tuna, Salmon and Whale tail (ass) are the three yummiest fish, but actually, there's this strong competitor to these three, it's Nodoguro (Blackthroat fish).

Nodoguro is unbelievably delicious, known for its rich fat content and deep umami flavour, offering a melt-in-your-mouth experience unlike any other.

If you see it on the menu, don’t hesitate. It is a must-try delicacy.

savory
stop saying umami you fucking faggot
>>

I like halibut. It's a denser meat.

Umami and Savory are different. Umami is a specific taste, recognized as the fifth basic taste (after sweet, bitter, salty, and sour), this Umami is what gives food its satisfying taste. Japanese man defined Umami, its concept previously unknown in the west. Japan introduced the key element to world cuisine and gastronomy.

Is it melting like my cock in your mouth?

Masaru your English is improving, congratulations.
>>
>>535981458
if I went there I'm sure I'd violate one of the 99 unwritten rules of how to eat that fish and everyone would gasp and the chef would pull out his katana and tell me to leave
so no thanks
>>
>>535981870
>No you see we Japanese intentionally include stuff because the point of including it is to not use it I wouldn’t expect a baka gaijin to understand our ways
Why are they like this?
>>
>>535981458
For me, the tastiest fish I've had is flying fish. It's like a combination of fish and chicken. Is great fried with some mayonnaise.

I'll always be amazed by how meticulous the Japanese are when it comes to preparing fish and, really, almost everything else. I cook the fish right in the pan and then remove the bones once it's on the plate

Japan has sophisticated supply chains that allow for fish to be fresh and parasite free. Tapeworms quickly die in freezing process. We have advanced fishery and freezing technology. Eating raw is safe af in Japan.

No thanks I'm not gay

Go back to your truck stop slop fag

>>535981458
I only eat shark and eel
>>
>>535982891
Niggers will chimp about raw anything, then eat a raw salad from a filthy super market, which has been shit on by all forms of wildlife, marinated in the manure of more intentionally, then handled by unwashed underpaid brown swarthoids with feces all over their hands. But its ok because green is le fresh and healthy!!!
>>
>>535982891
I can believe that your country handles the freezing well, but it still doesn’t remove all the parasites eggs, not mentioning heavy metals, plastic, bacteria and micro particles of Indian diarrhoea.
>>
Sturgeon is better. Nips wish they could eat dinosaur.
>>
>>535982116
I second this.

Sole is one of the tastier dishes. Surely better than Tuna and Salmon. Even Sea bass and Monkfish are better than Tuna and Salmon btw.
>>
>>535983301
You can wash salad and leave it for a few minutes in the water with a few spoons of baking soda - totally removes all bugs and other shit. Beef can be eaten medium rare, pork needs to be always well done. Fish is the only thing that got fucked up just recently because of oceans pollution, and you don’t need to be a genius to understand that and draw a line between what can be eaten raw and what’s better to cook.

Smoked salmon and tuna are S tier obviously

Mackerel is S+ tier

Umami makes everything taste better, soups, sauces, snacks, instant noodles. You know why your Doritos seem unreasonably craveable? That’s often Umami doing its job.

I seriously hope you kill yourself soon

where can I obtain this umami thing? is there concentrate of it?
>>
>>535981458
wrong
#1=cod
#2=monk fish
#3= chilean sea bass
anyone that thinks tuna or salmon is better than the three I posted needs to have a neurological exam.
>>
>>535981458
dont post food here you gook loving craker
>>
>>535983823
If you're the first one to notice and define it in a way that people can understand then, yes, you've discovered something even if it was right there the whole time.
>>
>>535983830
You probably never ate real tuna before
>>

MSG

>>535981458
I buy frozen Alaska pollock for $15 /kg from the supermarket, batter it and deep fry it in seed oil.
>>
>>535981458
We Americans can't afford that. By restaurant standards here that is a $100+ meal.
>>
>>535984091
Well of course we haven't. The amount of tuna you just showed there would cost $150 in USA.
>>
>>535981623
Love me some halibut. The density is real. Too bad it's 2x the cost of the cheapest fish at most fish n chips places. Big fan of cod too.
>>
>>535984101
thanks
>>
>>535984091
>You probably never ate real tuna before
Portuguese tuna is sold for thousands of dollars in japanese markets, I've had it fresher than you ever have and it pales in comparison to prime season sardines

Umami isn’t just seasoning. It’s a cultural and scientific triumph.
>>
>>535981458
looks disgusting. I hate japanese food
>>
>>535981656
The concept of umami in the west is savory, stop being such a racist faggot
>>
I like catching salmon more than i like eating them. They are fun when they put up a fight.
>>
>>535984321
but don't expect to eat some MSG and taste umami
you have to add it to something, preferably meat
then you'll know
>>
>>535984473
People often equate them, but that's a simplification. Savory is a broader descriptor, often including salt, richness, and even fat. But Umami is distinct, a taste triggered by glutamate, inosinate, or guanylate on the tongue.

In small bumfuck town Canada you get served sushi by Chinese or Koreans and the rice is still hot. :( Less niggers, just as many pajeets.

>>
>>535981458
anon, if you are seriously saying about eating "whale tail" out of actual whales, and its not some sort of local fish and translation error..
then hear my warning: you better close that filthy whore mouth of yours, and stop eating whales
God help me, we need to better fund seashepherds so they got some actual torpedos to sink subhuman nignogs whaling ships, and stop eating of inteligent local lifeforms aka "whales"
pls just eat some raw fugu, do it for me ok?
>>
>>535984091
Sorry Mr Miyagi-san but food looking pretty isn't the same as food tasting good
