When you have a job, it is your duty to provide the best service possible to customers who require your expertise. A job is not "for you". Quite the opposite, you are "for it", or rather, for the consumer who needs your skills. It is in everyone's best interest that jobs select based on merit as we all rely on the expertise of thousands of unseen individuals every day of our lives. Every diversity based, equity hire is an attack on the unseen fabric of our lives. Equity hiring is death by a thousand cuts for any society that embraces it. It wrongly elevates the person "doing" the job as the reason thar the job exists, rather than the need for the job and the expertise that it requires.
